The NRSMC Students' Council organized a successful Republic Day celebration at the college ground on January 26, 2026. The event was marked by a patriotic fervor as the national flag was hoisted by Prof. (Dr.) Indira Dey (Pal), Principal of NRSMC.
Esteemed dignitaries, including senior faculty members and administrative heads, shared the stage, highlighting the intersection of constitutional values and medical ethics. The gathering of medical students, interns, and residents served as a powerful reminder of our dual identity as citizens and healthcare professionals.
The Students' Council extends its sincere gratitude to the administration and the student body for their presence and participation.

The biggest tournament is knocking at the door đŸĨŗđŸĨŗđŸĨŗđŸĨŗ

CRIC-ON 2K26
Inter college cricket tournament.

Where medicine meets momentum, the spirit of sport takes center stage đŸâš•ī¸. The Inter-College Cricket Tournament brings together medical colleges from across West Bengal, uniting students under the West Bengal University of Health Sciences on one common pitch. Beyond boundaries and scorecards, this tournament celebrates teamwork, resilience, and the shared identity of the medical fraternity.
In the midst of packed schedules, ward duties, and endless lectures, this event offers a refreshing break — a chance to recharge, connect, and compete with passion đŸ’Ĩ. As colleges from across the state step onto the field, stethoscopes are set aside, friendships are forged, and cricket becomes the language that binds future doctors together. This is not just a tournament — it’s a celebration of balance, brotherhood, and the joy of the game. 🎉

We, the Students of NRSMC&H strongly condemn the inhumane assault on a doctor at Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay Govt. Medical College & Hospital. Such acts of violence against medical professionals are not only unacceptable but also deeply alarming, especially when they occur in institutions dedicated to healing and saving lives.

We stand in solidarity with our colleagues at Sharat Chandra Sen Medical College and across the nation. The white coat is a symbol of service, not a target for violence.
Enough is enough. Safety of healthcare workers is not a privilege — it is a right.

We demand:
1. Immediate and strict legal action.
2. Assurance of safety and security for all healthcare workers.
3. Implementation of stronger protection protocols and enforcement of existing laws against violence on doctors.
4. A clear message from the administration and authorities that such incidents will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

We stand united in prayer and solidarity for the people of West Bengal specially North Bengal suffering from the recent floods and landslides. We pray for comfort for bereaved families, swift healing for the injured, and safety for those stranded. May relief reach every corner swiftly, and may strength and resilience guide survivors through this dark hour. In this moment of crisis, may hope rise above despair, and may the region be restored soon.

With regards,
NRSMC STUDENTS' COUNCIL.
