GreenTech Environ Management Pvt. Ltd is one of the leading Waste Management companies in West Bengal. Founded in 2011, by Mr. Ramakant Barman, GreenTech has been awarded the prestigious Kolkata Green Future Leadership Awards in 2017 and was recently declared the winner of SME-Empowering India Awards 2019.
Mr Ramakant’s vision for West Bengal is that the state be Solid Waste Management Rules 2016 compliant. He wants to be an enabler - ensuring that household waste do not reach the landfill and industry may receive alternate fuel from recycling plastic. Being a father himself, he is aware of the hazard of living in a city where landfills burn and pollute the air and ground water. His love for Kolkata and India are apparent in his zealous enthusiasm for the cause of circular economy.
GreenTech has been supporting more than 1600 clients, and serving 23 districts of West Bengal. It has a fleet of waste collection vehicles and has 2 Common Bio-Medical Waste Treatment Facilities which treat biomedical waste of North and South Bengal . 7 Common Bio-Medical Waste Treatment Facilities are in various stages of completion which (are due to be completed soon) will transform the waste recycling scenario for West Bengal.
GreenTech invites all establishments- Housing Societies, Residents Welfare Association, Gated communities, Hotels, Hospitals, Government and private offices, Restaurants, Malls, Medical Facilities, to be a part of this movement for segregation of waste. How? GreenTech will offer assistance in setting up compost machines, pick up plastic, paper and e-waste from you. It will also ensure that hazardous waste from homes (such as diapers, sanitary napkins, hair nails etc.) are incinerated and are sent to a secured landfill for proper disposal.
Our campaign ‘Nirmal Ghar Nirmal Shahar’ aims to make the responsible citizens of Kolkata aware of the benefits of segregating waste.
