The incumbent MLA and other elected representatives seem to be limited to issuing statements and assurances, with little visible action on the ground. This footbridge has now become a serious public nuisance and a potential safety hazard. Are we waiting for an accident or loss of life before the authorities finally wake up?

If the bridge is unsafe and cannot be repaired immediately, it would be better to close it temporarily and provide a safe alternative rather than leave the public exposed to unnecessary risk. The people need action, not another statement.

This footbridge is a vital link connecting the National Highway passing through Main Market Kralpora with the Kralpora Bus Stand. Unfortunately, despite its importance to the local community, the long-pending issue continues to receive little attention from the incumbent representatives.

While there are certain genuine concerns and objections raised by the affected traders and shop owners, it is equally important for the concerned local representatives to come forward, engage with all stakeholders, and facilitate a mutually acceptable resolution so that the much-needed work can finally commence.

The continued delay in resolving such a basic connectivity issue reflects a sorry state of affairs. The people of Kralpora deserve better infrastructure, effective representation, and timely intervention on matters directly affecting public convenience and mobility.

A patient was admitted to SDH Kralpora, where the attending doctor prescribed a PCM (Paracetamol) infusion and an Omez injection.

Unavailability of Essential Medicines: Upon visiting the hospital dispensary, the patient was informed that neither the PCM infusion nor the Omez injection was available. Furthermore, the Jan Aushadhi generic pharmacy located inside the hospital premises remained closed from 1:15 until 1:55 PM, leaving the patient with no option to procure medicines internally.

Unprofessional Conduct by BMO Kralpora: When we brought this critical grievance to the Block Medical Officer (BMO) Kralpora, he dismissively directed us to purchase the medicines from the private market. His demeanor was highly aggressive, hostile, and uncalled for.

Denial of Accountability: When questioned about the lack of PCM infusion and Omeprazole injection, the BMO claimed that the government had failed to send supplies. When we asked why timely requisitions were not made to prevent such shortages, he abruptly shut his office door on us and denied us re-entry.
Denying essential medication and shutting doors on distressed citizens seeking medical assistance undermines government healthcare initiatives and breaches basic medical ethics.
We the members of Civil society Kralpora request a formal inquiry into the medicine shortages at SDH Kralpora, the operational hours of the Jan Aushadhi store, and the unprofessional behavior of the BMO.

How long does it take to fix a lifeline? In Kralpora, the answer is apparently "more than five years."
The footbridge connecting the Kralpora Sumo Stand to the Main Bazar remains in complete shambles. For half a decade, this vital link has been nothing more than a crumbling hazard, forcing residents to gamble with their safety every single day.
The Reality on the Ground:
5 Years of Neglect: This isn't a new issue. We’ve been talking about this since 2020, yet not a single brick has been laid.

All Talk, No Action: The bridge makes the headlines constantly, but while the media watches, the administration is fast asleep.
Lives at Stake: This isn't just about convenience; it’s about survival. Elderly citizens, students, and daily laborers are risking their lives just to get to the market.
Where is the Accountability?
It seems everyone is "taking note," but nobody is taking action. Why is the safety of Kralpora’s citizens being treated as a footnote? How many more years—or worse, how many lives—will it take for the authorities to wake up?
"A bridge is meant to connect people, but right now, the only thing it’s connecting us to is fear."

DISREGARD FOR PUBLIC CONVENIENCE BY MALIK HP GAS GRAMIN VITRAK KRALPORA. 📢
Despite being scheduled for delivery in Kralpora today, HP Gas management is failing to show up. Instead of the door-to-door delivery promised by the administration, people are being forced to travel all the way to the godown in this heavy rain.
This isn’t about logistics, it’s about deliberate mismanagement. Why should the public suffer in this weather because the agency refuses to follow the schedule?
This isn't just an inconvenience—it's a breakdown of basic service.
