It is a matter of immense pride to share that GMC Handwara has been granted accreditation for 10 additional DNB/Diploma seats, taking our total sanctioned capacity to 34 seats.

GMC Handwara has become the first medical college in J&K to secure accreditation in Emergency Medicine with 4 seats — a distinction previously held only by SKIMS, which has 2 seats in this specialty.*

This achievement marks a significant milestone in strengthening postgraduate medical training in the UT and further enhancing the academic profile of GMC Handwara.

Inshallah. In a couple of years this institution will evolve and there will hardly be a patient who would be referred to Srinagar. That is the ultimate objective
