A Birthday Remembrance Filled with Love, Compassion and Kindness

Kurseong K9, along with all the voiceless animals under our care, extends its heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Sunita S***a of Hong Kong for her continued love and generous support towards our feeding sessions.

Today, Sunita Ma’am once again came forward to sponsor a feeding session in loving memory of her late elder brother, Shri Kalyan S***a of Sitalu Basti, Kurseong, whose birthday falls today. Remembering a loved one through an act of kindness is a beautiful way to keep their memory alive, and what could be more meaningful than sharing love with those who cannot speak for themselves?

As we join Sunita Ma’am in remembering her beloved brother, we pray that his departed soul finds eternal peace and that his memories continue to bring strength, comfort and inspiration to the family. Wishing Shri Kalyan S***a a very happy birthday in the heavenly abode. Though he may no longer be physically present among us, may his love and blessings continue to shine upon those he left behind.

Celebrating 19 Months of Little Yathesta with a Big Heart

Some milestones are celebrated with cakes, gifts and candles. But today, little Yathesta’s 19th month was celebrated in a way that carries a much deeper meaning — with food, compassion and love shared with the voiceless.

With hearts full of gratitude, we thank Yugen Thapa and Suravi Moktan for sponsoring today’s feeding session and dedicating this beautiful act of kindness to their beloved daughter, Yathesta.

Dear little Yathesta,

You may be just 19 months old, but today your special milestone brought comfort to many innocent lives who cannot speak, ask or thank us. While you grow surrounded by your parents’ love, their beautiful gesture ensured that some of the forgotten souls on our streets also felt cared for today.

A Meal of Love, Remembrance & Compassion

Today’s feeding session for our voiceless friends was made possible through the generous sponsorship of Mrs. Sori Yonzon, her daughter Ms. Binita Yonzon, and their family from Monteviote, Kurseong.

Year after year, the Yonzon family lovingly dedicates a feeding session in memory of their beloved furry companions who may have left this world, but continue to live forever in their hearts.

A Meal of Love in Memory of a True Animal Lover — Late Raju Moktan

Today, Kurseong K9 had the privilege of organising a special feeding session for the voiceless of Kurseong, dedicated to the loving memory of Late Raju Moktan, who passed away on 12th September 2026.

This heartfelt gesture was made possible by Lucky Tamang from Ghoom, who wished to honour her beloved uncle in the most beautiful way she could—by feeding the very animals he had loved and cared for throughout his life.

Raju Moktan was a true animal lover. He would rescue animals, feed them, care for them, and make sure that those who were sick or injured received the treatment and help they needed. Stray animals were especially close to his heart, and his compassion towards them left behind a beautiful legacy of kindness.

Today, as these innocent souls received their meal, we remembered a man whose love extended beyond words. Every bowl served was a small tribute to the kindness he showed during his lifetime.

Lucky shared a beautiful thought with us—that perhaps somewhere beyond the Rainbow Bridge, all the dogs Raju loved and cared for have welcomed him with the same unconditional love he once gave them. It is a comforting thought, and a beautiful way to remember a soul who cared so deeply for the voiceless.

Dear Uncle Raju, your journey on Earth may have come to an end, but the love and kindness you gave to these innocent lives will continue to live on.

From all of us at Kurseong K9, and from every wagging tail that received today's meal, we offer our heartfelt prayers that the soul of Late Raju Moktan may rest in eternal peace. May he be surrounded by peace, love, and the souls of all the animals he cherished.
