In September 2024 Mrs. Shanti Devi's family received voluntary blood donation from the community for her heart surgery. Unfortunately, a few days ago, her health deteriorated, and she was admitted again to LPSIC, Kanpur. Despite the doctors' best efforts, they couldn't save her. In a noble gesture, the family decided to donate her eyes to G.S.V.M. Medical College, Kanpur, at 9:30 PM on October 7, and her body to Medical College, Agra, at 2:00 AM on October 8, 2024, to give back to society. सितंबर माह में श्रीमती शांति देवी के परिवार को उनकी हार्ट सर्जरी के लिए स्वैच्छिक रक्तदान मिला था। दुर्भाग्यवश, कुछ दिन पहले उनकी तबियत बिगड़ गई और उन्हें दोबारा LPSIC, कानपुर में भर्ती कराया गया। डॉक्टरों की पूरी कोशिशों के बावजूद उन्हें बचाया नहीं जा सका। परिवार ने समाज को वापस देने की भावना से उनका नेत्रदान 7 अक्टूबर को रात 9:30 बजे जी.एस.वी.एम. मेडिकल कॉलेज, कानपुर को और देहदान 8 अक्टूबर को सुबह 2:00 बजे मेडिकल कॉलेज, आगरा को कर दिया। SOTTO उत्तर प्रदेश, श्रीमती शांति देवी के परिवार के दान के जज़्बे को सलाम करता है।

SOTTO - U. P. & DoHA, SGPGIMS hosted a One-Day Seminar on BSD Declaration: The Path to Augment Deceased Donation.

Representatives from 6 govt. medical colleges in U.P. attended, received training to kickstart their deceased organ donation programs.

Tx. Co-ordinators from all registered Tx. Centers were also present.

Today's Walkathon by SOTTO-UP & DoHA SGPGIMS was a resounding success! 🚶‍♂️🏃‍♀️ Shri Parthasarthi Sen Sharma I.A.S. was welcomed as the chief guest.

Flagged off by Padma Shri Dr. RK Dhiman, Smt. Ruchita Chaudhary I.P.S., and distinguished faculty members from SGPGIMS, the event saw over 300 participants, including many youths from the College of Nursing.

They walked from 1090 Chauraha to Samta Mulak Chowk in Lucknow, spreading awareness about healthy living and the importance of organ donation. 💪💚
