Rural Tourism Village - Gajasthal, Amroha, came alive through an immersive learning experience for 30 students, accompanied by three teachers.
The students explored Kali Mandir and Mahadev Mandir, listened to stories of the village’s heritage from a local storyteller, and experienced rural life through vegetable farming and field activities. They also interacted with a local artisan and participated in traditional pot painting, gaining hands-on exposure to the village’s craft traditions. Moreover, at Shobit Homestay, the experience continued with samosas prepared by local women, offering the students a taste of authentic village hospitality, local cuisine and community-led tourism.

7 Days. 7 Species. One Shared Future.

Day 4 brings us to the Asian Elephant, the largest land animal in Asia and one of nature’s greatest architects.

And on World Architecture Day, how could we forget the architect of the jungle?

Elephants shape the forests they live in. They disperse seeds, open pathways, break branches and influence vegetation, helping create and maintain habitats for countless other species.

In Uttar Pradesh, important elephant habitats and movement corridors span the Terai and Shivalik landscapes, including Dudhwa, Katarniaghat, Pilibhit and Amangarh.

Protecting elephants means protecting the forests they shape and the entire web of life that depends on them. And with the jungle season just around the corner, the wild is getting ready to welcome you back !!
