Our Story

The Composite Regional Centre for Skill Development,Rehabilitation & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities [Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities(Divyangjan) Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment,Govt,of India] was established in Mohaan Road, Lucknow under the administrative control of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya National Institute for Persons with Physical Disabilities (Divyangjan), New Delhi and became operational from November-2005. The centre has been providing comprehensive rehabilitation services like physiotherapy, occupational therapy, prosthetic and orthotic services, speech therapy, psychological services, and special education for the mentally re****ed, visually impaired, and the hearing impaired, besides providing mobility aids, hearing aids, skill training, vocational guidance & counselling to persons with disabilities in and around the city. The institute also conducts out-reach Camp services to the persons with disabilities in various districts of Uttar Pradesh state. The institute also conducts Diploma in Special Education – Visual Impairment and Mental Retardation courses of 2 years duration .
