Uttar Pradesh State Designated Agency celebrated Energy Conservation Day on 14 December 2022 at UPNEDA, Head Office. On this day, 13 Awards(Industries from 13 Sectors) in Uttar Pradesh State Energy Conservation Award-2022 and 15 Awards (Students from class 03- Class11)in Painting Competition-2022 have been distributed.

Uttar Pradesh’s State Energy Efficiency Action Plan is being prepared.Bureau of Energy Efficiency, GOI has appointed ASSOCHAM for the task.

A kick off meeting was chaired by Sh. Ashish Tiwari, Secretary, Environment today.Officials from UPNEDA, Sh. Ashok Shrivastava and Sh. Ram Kumar alongwith officials of Directorate of Environment were also present during the meeting.

In the meeting the State’s sustainable energy efficiency mission points were also presented to set the context. D2O on the behalf of ASSOCHAM presented the methodology of action plan. We look forward to an effective action plan and take forward the torch of Uttar Pradesh’s leadership in Energy Efficiency to the last mile.

MoU was assigned b/w Faculty of Architecture and Planning (FOAP) and Uttar Pradesh New & Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) for Disseminating codes (UPECBC-2018 for Govt. & Commercial Buildings and Eco Niwas Samhita for residential buildings) as a goal for the building sector through awareness programs, seminars, workshops, short courses, etc, as a concentrated effort toward mitigating the adverse effects of mindless development.

After signing, MoU was exchanged b/w Director, UPNEDA Sri Bhawani Singh khangarot(IAS) and Principal of Faculty of Architecture and Planning Smt Vandana Sehgal.

A newly established video conferencing hall at UPNEDA Head office, with the financial support of the BEE Ministry of Power Govt of India was inaugurated today by Sri Alok Sinha IAS, ACS & APC Govt of UP.

After the inauguration 58th meeting of the Executive Committee of UPNEDA was conducted in VC hall under the chairmanship of Sri Alok Sinha (IAS).In the meeting, a proposal for UPNEDA to perform as a trading licensee for the supply of Electricity Generated from RE was approved.

EC has also approved 02 proposals, 1st to increase Paid-UP share capital in TUSCO limited a joint venture company of UPNEDA & THDCIL and 2nd proposal to increase authorized share capital in BSUL which is a joint venture company of UPNEDA and NHPC.

Webinar on "Industrial Energy Efficiency Key for Economic Development" for Sugar federation of Uttar Pradesh by PCRA in association with Uttar Pradesh State Designated Agency organized on 30 Sep 2021.

To realise the vision of the Hon'ble Prime Miniter on ease of doing business, the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) has launched a scheme of Grading of Energy Efficiency Projects and conducted a webinar on this on 27th Sep 2021.

On the basis of grading SMEs, Large Industries and other commercial establishments can get loans from Financial Institutions(FIs).

The grading fees will be reimbursed by BEE.

Uttar Pradesh New & Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) is the State Designated Agency of Uttar Pradesh has announced State Energy Conservation Award-2021 in 10 Categories.
