The Bioinformatics Centre, Biotech City was set up in November 2001, at Industrial Toxicology Research Centre (ITRC), Lucknow as networking site. The major objective of the Bioinformatics Centre is to showcase the R & D and academic strength of the Lucknow in the area of Biotechnology & Bioinformatics and act as nodal point for industry – academia - U.P.
