My uncle, Adv. Dayanand Narvekar, Ex-Deputy Chief Minister & Ex-MLA of Thivim and Aldona, spoke about the contribution of the Congress era to Goa’s healthcare and education infrastructure.

From Goa Medical College and hospitals to Primary Health Centres, the focus was on making healthcare accessible to people across Goa.

He also highlighted the expansion of education, with colleges being established across different parts of the state, creating greater opportunities for Goan students.

Education and healthcare are the foundations of a strong society — and Goa must continue to protect and strengthen them.

Mapusa has seen multiple reported drug seizures in recent years — including 35 kg of g***a and charas in January 2024, 850 g g***a in August 2024, 1.2 kg in January 2025, and 180 g of suspected hydroponic w**d in May 2025.

Yet the question remains for the BJP-led government and concerned authorities:

Are raids alone enough?
Where is the long-term strategy to disrupt the supply network and protect Mapusa’s youth?

Mapusa deserves more than raids.
