Punjab Institute of Technology GTB Garh, Moga

Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University, Bhatinda has started an interactive series with various stakeholders under its “University at Your Doorstep” initiative. Senior officials of the University under the leadership of Vice Chancellor interacted with Chairmen, Directors, Principals of all affiliated institutions of Moga district at PIT GTB Garh Moga on 04.12.25.

The primary agenda of the meeting was to enhance skill development and entrepreneurship among students, strengthening Entrepreneurship Mindset course EMC initiative of Punjab Government and to strengthen the overall academic environment of the institutions.

Chairmen and Directors from all 13 affiliated colleges actively participated in the deliberations. The Associate Dean Academic Affairs and Director, CDC, were also present during the event.

Key discussions covered a wide range of academic and administrative aspects including:

1. Govt initiative For EMC, all institutions appreciated this step of govt and promised their 100% participation.

2. Contributing towards Punjab Govt initative for skill development under PSDM. Institutions were encouraged to start skill based courses under this scheme.

3. Improving the quality of teaching-learning processes.

4. Making efforts to enhance admissions

5. Developing research ecosystem in colleges

6. University to start Faculty and student development initiatives like FDP, SDP, internships

7. Developing strategies and organising workshops for NAAC accreditation of colleges

8. Exploring avenues for industry collaborations and MoUs

Interacrive session was highly appreciated with constructive feedback and suggestions from both the University and affiliated institutions, reaffirming collective commitment towards growth and excellence. Similar meetings have been scheduled in other districts for ensuring better coordination with various stakeholders.

Media coverage of Health check up camp under NSS activities.

On the Occasion of NSS day, NSS wing, PIT, GTB Garh Moga successfully organised a Ayurvedic Health check-up camp in collaboration with Satya Sai Ayurvedic College, Moga.
At the outset, Dr. Amit kr. Manocha, Director of institute welcomes the doctors team. Staff and students of the institute participated in the camp with full enthusiasm and energy. Blood sugar, BP check and many more tests were performed free of cost and distributed free medicine to the patients. The Doctors team also gives lectures on 'How to live a healthy life' and motivated the faculty, staff and students of the institute.

Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, Honble VC, MRSPTU appreciated the institute for organising the event and encouraged the team to conduct such more events in the future.

Engineer's Day was celebrated on 15 Sept. 2025 in reference to Standards Club formed at our Institute. The standard Quiz Competition was conducted as a part of club activity. Cash prizes/ stationery items were distributed among the winner teams and the participants.
