Tanzanian education delegates recently visited Maharashtra to study the state’s approaches to student assessments, vocational training, and large‑scale textbook printing and distribution. Over several days they met with education department officials, teacher trainers, and school leaders, observed classroom assessments, toured vocational training centres, and visited textbook printing facilities to understand procurement and quality control. These discussions identified practical steps for adapting assessment frameworks, expanding skill‑based training, and streamlining textbook production to improve access and learning outcomes. The visit built strong professional ties and opened possibilities for pilot projects, teacher exchanges, and joint capacity‑building programmes that can benefit students in both regions.
