About the subject:
The Sea Cadet Corps, a non-government youth organisation, founded by the late Hon Commodore Gokaldas S. Ahuja on 13th May 1938, has a current membership of nearly 6,000 boys and girls in it's 15 units all over India. The organisation develops values, sense of responsibility and a spirit of adventure in young people in the age group of 10 to 18 years through nautical and related training. The training imparted also enables those desiring to follow a career at sea to be better prepared.

The Mumbai wing of the Sea Cadet Corps have organised their ceremonious annual parade on the 13 of May 2012 at the Gateway of India and the salute will be taken by the Governor of Maharashtra.
