An insightful session on “Courier Exports & Role of India Post in Boosting Exports” was conducted on Sunday, 31st May 2026 as part of the Post Graduate Program in Foreign Trade Management, jointly conducted by Federation of Indian Export Organisations - FIEO and Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research.

The session, led by Shri Vipul C. Mandlesha, Export Head, gave students practical clarity on leveraging India Post and courier channels for MSME exports, documentation, HS codes, and fast clearance processes.

The knowledge shared will help students expand their understanding and capabilities in the field of Export and Import through India Post.

Department of Posts in association with Government of Goa, commemorated the Birth Centenary of legendary Goan cartoonist and artist Mario de Miranda with the release of a Customized 'My Stamp', and Special Cover with Special Cancellation today at Dinanath Mangeshkar Kala Mandir, Kala Academy, Panaji.

The first album was presented by the Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle, Shri Amitabh Singh to Hon’ble Vice President of India, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan.

Hon’ble Governor of Goa, Shri Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju and Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant graced the occasion held as part of the celebrations of the 40th Statehood Day of Goa .

Fatima Miranda Figueiredo, sister of Mario Miranda was present for the event.

The special philatelic release is a tribute to the timeless legacy and artistic brilliance of Mario Miranda, whose works beautifully captured the spirit and culture of Goa.

To honour his immense contribution to Urdu literature and Indian cinema, Maharashtra Postal Circle released a Special Postal Cover dedicated to his timeless legacy. The cover was unveiled by Shri .Amitabh Singh, Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle.

The occasion was further marked by cultural and literary tributes, including the screening of Raag Shayari — a beautiful celebration of Kaifi Azmi’s poetry featuring Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, Shankar Mahadevan, Zakir Hussain and Purbayan Chatterjee.
