Sakhi - One Stop Centre - Mumbai Suburban

SNDT Women college of Home Sciences students visited us for the purpose of knowing One Stop Center work. It was happy meet with students :)) The did questioned and clarified to know more about the work. It was quite enthusiastic meet with all of them, I felt energies during interaction with them. One thing I felt that the students were into the stage of knowing about how government projects runs on the field which might help them to bring more awareness to the work of such programmes and connecting and sharing the work with women who is need of care and protection

सखी - एक थांबा केंद्र (one stop centre) हा केंद्र शासन पुरस्कृत प्रकल्प आहे. जो जिल्हा महिला बाल विकास विभाग अंतर्गत मुंबई उपनगर मध्ये चालतो. तसेच URJA Trust (उर्जा संस्था) हि सहयोगी संस्था म्हणून केंद्राशी जोडली गेली आहे.

केंद्र महिलांच्या सुरक्षा व न्यायासाठी काम करते. जी महिला कोणत्याही आपातकालीन/संकटकालीन परिस्थितीत सापडते, तेव्हा सखी-एक थांबा केंद्राची धाव घेऊ शकते किंवा संपर्क करावा.

केंद्र शासन पुरस्कृत ,माननीय जिल्हाधिकारी ह्यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखाली,जिल्हा महिला व बालविकास कार्यालय मुंबई उपनगर व सहयोगी संस्था उर्जा ह्यांच्यामार्फत सखी एक थांबा केंद्र हा शासकीय उपक्रम गेले दीड वर्ष कार्यरत आहे.मुंबई सारख्या महानगरात दिवसेंदिवस वाढणारी गर्दी ,कोरोना ताळेबंदीच्या काळात वाढत्या हिंसेचे प्रमाण,कौटुंबिक हिंसा,लैंगिक हिंसा,बाललैंगिक शोषण ह्याने पीडित महिला व बालके ह्यांना तात्पुरत्या पाच दिवसीय निवासी सुविधा देणारी शासकीय यंत्रणा मुंबई उपनगर येथे कार्यरत आहे.
