Gulshan Bano is one of the participants from Cheeta Camp Financial Literacy Program who is a single parent woman working in caterers business and earning hard earned money for upbringing her daughter and son.

Gulshan Bano made a new year resolution by keeping a small amount of Rs 30,000 under programs as FD for her daughter's marriage and also saving on a regular basis keeping a clear financial goal in her mind.

One CSR Financial Literacy program is taking the shape of Financial Management for the lower income group, creating opportunities for the most vulnerable NT-DNT population living at Jay Ambe Nagar.
Inculcating saving habits and goal based financial planning is helping people to give up their bad habits, unnecessary expenditures and motivating people to save money for the health, education and other most needed upcoming household emergencies.

To appreciate this small but big step from women from Jay Ambe Nagar, Foundation invited Togare Sir from Welfare Department, M Ward for the Certificate Distribution program.

Dhriti Foundation is working on the Samvriddhi Angel CSR project with the objective to bring financial stability in the lives of vulnerable, unorganized sectors, slum dwellers who are struggling to meet their basic needs, especially after Covid- 19 crisis. in the first phase has successfully achieved to bring NGO, CBO and Community leaders to get the participants from vulnerable segment to brainstorm on literacy, making wise financial decisions, understanding the unnecessary expenditures, giving up the bad habits of to***co, Gutka, giving second thought before any expenditures and thus saving the money for creating an fund which will be utilized for education, health, livelihood and other such developmental work of a household and to meet unexpected emergency needs of a family.

Towards Sustainable Financial Change
Our Angel One CSR supported program trains and empowers local communities and local organizations make informed financial decisions and exercise to plan and secure their future.
On 10th September, DF partner Vision Foundation, a grass root organization working with tribal communities in Palghar district, celebrated its first year of operations with a special program for Financial Literacy participants completing the course and enrolling for the Savings Challenge. Chief guest Radhika Rajagopalan, Dhriti Foundation founder and director, distributed certificates and interacted with the participants and trainers to understand the impact of training.
Speaking about their experiences, Vishwas Patil and Santosh Wagh from Vision Foundation, spoke movingly of the issues faced by the Katkari women, a vulnerable tribal community facing serious unemployment and alcoholism issues and how Angel One CSR support to has helped women better understand their finances and organize small savings groups with support as part of savings challenge.

We at are thrilled with the response from our local communities to our Angel One CSR initiative Financial Literacy program - aimed to empower lower income families plan and secure their financial future with financial training and tools.

On Sep 6th, we celebrated our first merit certificate program- Ms Shefali Hasija, Head Angel One CSR graced the event, interacting with a batch of 30 of our elite warriors at the New Azad School in Cheetah Camp, an extremely vulnerable slum in M East ward where residents daily struggle with accessing basic minimum facilities - water, electricity and sanitation services.
Ms Shefali Hasija distributed certificates recognizing the outstanding efforts of these resilient women, who ably supported by Rehmat Bi and Nayi Soch for Humanity - DF partner organization, have successfully completed the course and have started their savings challenge.
