PHASE 1
Route 1:- Part India's first monorail is set to roll out in Mumbai.
It was to be operational for public use by Aug 2013 but slow construction and route re-alignment has further delayed the project untill Feb 2014. An accident in July 2011 killing 2 workers and injuring 6 has also added to the delays. Finally India's First Monorail and World 2nd longest monorail will thrown out to the public on 1st Feb 2014. Finally the wait is over.
Monorail Phase 2 will be ready by end of Feb MMRDA racing to fi nish the Chembur-Wadala-Jacob Circle line before the Lok Sabha election dates are announced.

After missing several deadlines, the , phase II, conducted a trial run from Wadala Depot to Lower Parel on September.
The nine-station trial started at 11.38 a.m. and ended at 12.34 p.m. with the train travelling at a speed of 15 kmph.
Hundreds of onlookers witnessed the monorail make its way through the nine-km stretch. On the Wadala- Jacob Circle line, there 12 stations: Wadala Depot, GTB Nagar, Antop Hill, Acharya Atre Nagar, Wadala Bridge, Dadar east, Naigaon, Ambedkar Nagar, Mint colony, Chinchpokli, Lower Parel, and Sant Gadge Maharaj Chowk (Jacob Circle).
The final destination, Sant Gadge Maharaj station, is 1.2 km away from Lower Parel.

Mumbai Monorail Services Resume After Disruption, Government Orders Probe Mumbai's monorail services were disrupted since about 10 am today due to problems with the power supply. The disruption was caused on both monorail lines after the main power supply was affected. Services were restored by about noon.
