The letter highlights concerns over rising production costs, global economic instability, and the need to protect the livelihoods of lakhs of film industry workers.

The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has appealed to the Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji to introduce a ₹10,000 monthly pension scheme for film industry workers, technicians, junior artists, artists, and all workers associated with shooting sets after the age of 60, ensuring them a secure and dignified life.

Today, All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has written a letter to Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji requesting the introduction of a ₹10,000 monthly pension scheme for registered and economically needy film industry workers and artists after the age of 60.

The workers, technicians, junior artists, artists and all members associated with the Indian film industry dedicate their entire lives to the entertainment industry, yet many struggle for financial security in old age.

The Indian film industry operates under the unorganised sector, where lakhs of workers spend their lives working without financial stability or social security. These hardworking individuals deserve dignity, respect and support in their later years.

AICWA sincerely hopes that the Government of India will take positive steps towards securing the future of film industry workers and artists across the country.
