A Two Day PM Vishwakarma Exhibition cm Trade Fair was organized by MSME-DFO Mumbai on 27th & 28th Feb.,2026 in its premises. 67 PM Vishwakarma Artisans had set up their stalls for display and sale of their products.

The Inaugural Session of the two day event was held on 27th Feb.,2026 at 11.00 am. Shri Ravindra Sathe, Chairman, MSKVIB was the Chief Guest for the event, Smt. Geetanjali Baviskar, IAS, CEO, MSKVIB, MSKVIB, Shri Ravindra Thakare, Joint CEO & Shri Nityanand Patil, Dy .CEO, MSKVIB, and Shri Milind Barapatre, IEDS, Director, MSME-DFO Mumbai, Shri S.R.Khujnare, IEDS, Dy.Director, Shri Praful Umare, IEDS, Dy.Director & Shri Abhay Daptardar, IEDS, Asstt.Director-I also graced the event.

The Exhibition cm Trade Fair received participation of 67 number of PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries who had set up their stalls for display and sale of products.

IGNITE – MahaNiryat Mumbai Suburban Convention 2026 🚀
Held on 2 Feb 2026 at the MSME Development & Facilitation Office, Andheri–Sakinaka, IGNITE–2026 brought together 150+ MSMEs, entrepreneurs, and policymakers on one powerful platform to strengthen the export and MSME ecosystem of Mumbai Suburban District.

The event witnessed participation of Shri Saurabh Katiyar (IAS), District Collector and senior officials from Department of Industries, DGFT, SEPC, FIEO, MPEDA, EPCES, NIA & MAITRI. The event was organized by JD, DIC, Govt of Maharashtra. Shri Milind Barapatre, IEDS, Director, MSME-DFO Mumbai participated in the convention.

The 77th Republic Day of India was solemnly celebrated today at MSME-DFO, Mumbai, in an atmosphere of pride and patriotic fervour.

The ceremony was attended by officers and staff of MSME-DFO Mumbai & MSME-TC Mumbai, who participated with a deep sense of dedication and respect for the nation.

The occasion reaffirmed our collective commitment to the ideals of the Constitution and the spirit of Nation First.

The objective of the Event was to provide a direct, structured interface between MSMEs and major PSUs, DPSUs and Defence OEMs.

The presentations on Outsourcing needs, vendor registration procedures and quality norms were made by Senior Officers from BPCL, HPCL, IOCL, BEML Ltd., Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd., Tata Advanced Systems Ltd., L&T Precision Engineering & Systems, Neuton Auto Pvt. Ltd. etc

The event witnessed participation of 90 representatives from varied sectors of MSME like Manufacturing MSMEs, Technology Start-ups, Diversified engineering companies, Academicians and Innovation Ecosystem players.

MSME Development & Facilitation Office (DFO), Mumbai, under the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, successfully organised a One-Day National Seminar on Export Promotion for MSMEs on 8th January 2026 at the MSME DFO Conference Hall, Mumbai, in association with Directorate General of Foreign Trade Mumbai, Directorate of Industries, Government of Maharashtra, and National Small Industries Corporation Ltd., Mumbai.

The programme received strong support from Export Promotion Councils and Institutions including Federation of Indian Export Organisations, Engineering Export Promotion Council of India, EPLEX Council, IIP, Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority, Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India, and India Post, Mumbai.

The inaugural session was graced by Mrs. Viju Shirsath, Joint Director of Industries, Konkan Region, Government of Maharashtra. Mr. Milind Barapatre, IEDS, Director, MSME-DFO Mumbai, presided over the function. Eminent dignitaries from DGFT, ECGC, FIEO, EEPC India, Regional Technology Centre Mumbai, and export advisory professionals addressed MSMEs, exporters, and prospective exporters, sharing valuable insights and practical guidance.

The seminar aimed to educate entrepreneurs on the Export Promotion Mission under EXIM Policy 2023, create awareness about schemes of the Ministry of MSME, Government of Maharashtra, and other institutions, and build capacity of first-time exporters under the IC Scheme. Topics such as export documentation, e-commerce, digital marketing, export finance, and setting up an export business were covered through day-long technical sessions delivered by senior officials.

Over 80 MSMEs and aspiring exporters participated in the programme. The event was coordinated by Shri Sunil Khujnare, IEDS, Deputy Director, MSME-DFO Mumbai, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Mayank Yogi, Assistant Director-I, MSME-DFO Mumbai.

An Awareness Programme on PM Vishwakarma Scheme was held at Bal Vikas Seva Sangh, Chembur, Mumbai on 11/12/2025. The event was jointly organised by MSME-DFO Mumbai, Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India and Maharashtra State Khadi & Village Industries Board, Mumbai

The event was graced by Smt. Geetanjali Baviskar, IAS, CEO, MSKVIB, Shri Nityanand Patil, Dy. CEO, Shri Narendra Estolkar, Joint Director, MSME-DFO Mumbai, Shri Sunil Khujnare, IEDS, Dy.Director, MSME-DFO, Mumbai and Shri Kantilal Baviskar, Lead Bank Manager, Bank of Baroda.

Special guidance sessions were delivered by Smt. Sheetal Panchal, Digital Expert, Shri Rajesh Ranade, Marketing Expert, and Shri Abhay Ravetkar, PM Vishwakarma State Coordinator along with his team. A Zonal Conference on “Cost & Competitiveness of MSMEs in India” was successfully organized by MSME-DFO, Mumbai on 8 December 2025 at the Quality Circle Forum of India, Bhosari, Pune.
The conference aimed to deliberate upon and validate the insights, discussions and recommendations emerging from the Cluster-Level Workshops held at Kolhapur, Nagpur, Pune and Goa.

The event witnessed an overwhelming response, with participation from more than 320 delegates representing diverse stakeholder groups across the MSME ecosystem.
