in 1856, The Hindu Widow Remarriage Act was legalized. The Act was enacted on 26th July 1856. Social Reformer played a major role in the establishment of this act, before this act the "Sati Custom" was also abolished. He was against all types of rotten customs related to women. He works hard to start the culture of widow remarriage in the country.

Commit yourself to the noble struggle for equal rights.You will make a greater person of yourself, a greater Nation of your country, and a finer world to live in..."

in the year 1944, a 14-year-old , who was a student at Booker T. Washington High School in Atlanta, delivered a speech entitled, "The Negro and the Constitution." King won the oratory contest, which was part of the Colored Elks Clubs of Georgia state convention. Little did the audience know it was the first public speech of one who would eventually lead the modern civil rights movement.

On 12th April 1963, Dr & 50 other civil rights leaders were arrested after leading a Good Friday demonstration as part of the Birmingham Campaign, designed to bring national attention to the brutal, racist treatment suffered by blacks in Birmingham, Alabama.
After Dr was arrested, & while in solitary confinement, he penned his famed "Letter From a Birmingham Jail," which responded to a number of local religious leaders who criticized the Birmingham campaign.

in the year 1913, The Maharaja of Baroda, Shri sanctioned Baroda State Scholarship of 11.50 pounds per month to Dr for his higher studies at Colombia University, USA for the duration of 3 years. For overseas scholarship Dr Ambedkar signed an agreement with Government of Baroda.

in the year 1927, Dr started a Marathi fortnightly "Bahishkrit Bharat". In the pages of Bahishkrut Bharat, argues that Hindu society was incapable of understanding basic social norms. It was in this newspaper that he also argues that Dalits should be identified separately from other communities.
In this newspaper, he also appeals Dalits to convert to other religions, such as Islam
This newspaper inaugurated a new era of mass politics in western India
