Day 2 Highlights | IGOC 2026 🌱🌍

A day of insightful discussions, industry perspectives and meaningful exchanges marked Day 2 of the 8th IOPEPC Global Oilseeds Conference in Khao Lak, Thailand.

The day featured dedicated sessions on Groundnut and Sesame Seeds, bringing global perspectives on production, market trends, demand and export opportunities. Engaging panel discussions explored Groundnut and Sesame Seeds and their value-added products, highlighting key aspects of demand, supply and opportunities across the value chain.

The Sesame Seed Trade Panel further opened the floor for industry dialogue, followed by the presentation of India’s Kharif Season 2026 Crop Survey for Groundnut and Sesame Seeds, with an interactive Q&A session.

With experts, exporters, traders and industry stakeholders exchanging knowledge and perspectives, Day 2 reinforced the importance of collaboration in advancing the global Oilseeds sector.

Day 1 brought together industry leaders and stakeholders for an evening of meaningful interactions, beginning with the inaugural ceremony and welcome address by Mr. Sandeep Bhura, Chairperson, IOPEPC.

The programme featured the Chief Guest’s address, the release of the Souvenir 2026, the Export Award Function, and the felicitation of our valued sponsors — celebrating excellence, collaboration and the collective contribution of the global Oilseeds community.

Quality testing is now closer to communities.

Where a sample cannot reach a laboratory, a laboratory can now reach the sample.

Today, the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) launched India's first Accreditation Scheme for Mobile Food Testing Laboratories under the Integrated Assessment Programme at 'Gunvatta Samanvaya’ in a Multilateral MoU Exchange Ceremony.

Mobile units have long extended testing to places fixed infrastructure cannot easily serve. Until now, they stood outside the accreditation framework. This Scheme brings them within it, ensuring the same benchmarks, the same rigour, wherever the unit is deployed.

What changes? Results closer to the source. Timely regulatory intervention. And the assurance that a mobile laboratory's result carries the same weight as a fixed facility's in the remotest district as in the capital.

Quality that travels the last mile.
