One of the defining moments of the IOPEPC Capacity Building Program & Trade Meet at Rajkot was the direct engagement between APEDA and the industry. Exporters, processors, and traders had the floor — and the conversation that followed was exactly the kind of dialogue that drives policy and trade closer together. IOPEPC has always believed that the growth of India’s oilseed exports requires government and industry to move in the same direction. Rajkot was proof that this is possible.

As India advances towards deeper trade integration with the European Union, quality compliance will remain central to strengthening market access and global competitiveness.
To fully realise the potential of the India–EU FTA, there is a need for transparent and science-based compliance systems, greater recognition of laboratory equivalence, and streamlined certification and inspection mechanisms. Such collaborative approaches can help reduce unnecessary Technical Barriers to Trade (TBTs) and facilitate smoother exports for Indian agri-products.
IOPEPC continues to advocate for globally accepted standards, stronger quality infrastructure, and fair trade practices that support Indian oilseed exporters in international markets.
