Maharashtra Nature Park is developed by Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority with the help of World Wide Fund for Nature- India.
The park is developed on erstwhile garbage dumping ground and it is having an area of 15 ha (37 acres).

Good news!!!!
It has been three consecutive years since we recorded an Indian Grey Hornbill in MNP. They have chosen MNP as their home.

Maharashtra Nature Park was established with the aim of nature education and awareness, especially among school and college children.
As a part of the Nature Lecture series, Ms.Kimaya Gajare delivered a lecture on the topic of biodiversity and its importance at N.G. Acharya and D.K. Marathe College on October 21. The content of the lecture on Indian biodiversity, its importance, threats, and measures that future generations can undertake to conserve biodiversity.
