These are the District Development Managers (DDMs), who play a key role in overseeing developmental initiatives, strengthening institutional coordination, and enabling effective implementation of the initiatives at the district level. As NABARD’s representatives on the ground, DDMs help bridge policy with implementation and contribute to inclusive rural transformation.

Technology becomes truly impactful when it reaches the last mile. RuTAGe Smart Village Centres (RSVCs), supported by NABARD, are envisioned as community-level technology facilitation hubs that connect rural communities with practical, affordable, and locally relevant innovations.
Designed to serve clusters of villages, RSVCs help in bridging critical gaps in rural ecosystems. Strengthening this vision further, NABARD, in collaboration with the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, has established a National Centre of Excellence on RSVCs.

Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, launched NABARD's Unit Cost Booklet 2026–27 and the “Silk Milk Meat” integrated farming pamphlet at the 171st SLBC meeting in Mumbai. The Annual Credit Plan with a projection of Rs 10.80 lakh crore was also launched during the meeting.
Hon’ble Chief Minister emphasised the need to strengthen credit access for farmers and MSMEs, while encouraging banks to leverage NABARD’s “Silk Milk Meat” integrated farming model to promote sustainable rural livelihoods and diversified income opportunities for farmers.
Ms Rashmi Darad, Chief General Manager, NABARD, highlighted NABARD’s continued efforts towards enabling investment-led growth in agriculture and allied sectors through innovative and bankable interventions, including new unit cost models and integrated farming initiatives.
The meeting was graced by several distinguished dignitaries, including Smt Sunetra Pawar, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra; Shri Baba Saheb Patil, Minister for Co-operation; Shri Dattatrey Bharne, Agriculture Minister, along with senior officials from the RBI, Government of Maharashtra, NABARD, SLBC, and leading banks.

Through its Hub and Spoke model, AgHub empowers startups, innovators, and rural communities with mentorship, incubation, funding access, co-innovation opportunities, and climate-smart agricultural solutions.
Incubation centres play a vital role in strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem by equipping innovators with the guidance, infrastructure, and strategic support needed to scale impactful solutions. NABARD continues to support agribusiness growth and rural innovation through these centres, generating more opportunities for rural entrepreneurs.

For several years, Mizoram had depended on external sources to meet its power requirements due to the gap between the state’s increasing electricity demand and local generation capacity.
To address this challenge, the Power and Electricity Department, Government of Mizoram, with support from NABARD under RIDF XXVIII, has facilitated the development of a 10 MW solar power project at Thenzawl. The initiative aims to strengthen the state’s renewable energy infrastructure while enhancing long-term energy security.

Singpho Phalap, the distinctively smoky-flavoured tea from Arunachal Pradesh, represents a rich legacy of indigenous knowledge and cultural heritage.
Handcrafted by the Singpho community using traditional fermentation and sun-drying techniques, this unique tea reflects centuries-old craftsmanship passed down through generations.
Recognising its cultural and economic significance, NABARD facilitated the GI registration process for Singpho Phalap, helping secure its identity and authenticity. The GI tag preserves this traditional tea-making practice and creates sustainable livelihood opportunities for local communities by enhancing its visibility in domestic and global markets.
