पत्रकारितेतील बदल स्वीकारताना मूल्यांची जपणूक गरजेची – डॉ. सुकृत खांडेकर
“पत्रकारिता क्षेत्रात झपाट्याने परिवर्तन होत असताना नवीन संधींचे दरवाजे उघडत आहेत; मात्र या प्रवासात मूल्यांची जपणूक आणि जबाबदारीची जाणीव तितकीच महत्त्वाची आहे,” असे प्रतिपादन ज्येष्ठ संपादक व राजकीय विश्लेषक डॉ. सुकृत खांडेकर यांनी केले. मुंबई विद्यापीठाच्या गरवारे व्यवसाय शिक्षण व विकास संस्थेच्या मराठी पत्रकारिता वर्गाच्या वार्षिक पुरस्कार वितरण सोहळ्यात ते आज ( शुक्रवार दिनांक 24 एप्रिल)बोलत होते. गरवारे व्यवसाय शिक्षण व विकास संस्थेच्या मराठी पत्रकारिता वर्ग आणि अखिल भारतीय साहित्य परिषद पुरस्कृत साहित्य भारती, कोकण प्रांत यांच्या संयुक्त उपक्रमातून आयोजित दि. वि. गोखले जयंती स्मृती व्याख्यान, ‘गरवारे दर्पण’ वार्षिकांक प्रकाशन सोहळा तसेच राज्यस्तरीय लेखन स्पर्धेचा पारितोषिक वितरण सोहळा संस्थेच्या प्रेक्षागारात आयोजित करण्यात आला होता.

आपल्या पत्रकारिता क्षेत्रातील ५४ वर्षांच्या प्रदीर्घ कारकिर्दीचा आढावा घेत विद्यार्थ्यांना आपल्या अनुभवातून अत्यंत मोलाचे मार्गदर्शन केले. युद्ध पत्रकार दि.वि.गोखले, डॉ. अरुण टिकेकर, विद्याधर गोखले यांसारख्या दिग्गज संपादकांच्या स्मृतींना त्यांनी आपल्या भाषणातून उजाळा दिला. विद्यार्थ्यांना मार्गदर्शक ठरेल असे अनुभवसमृद्ध व्याख्यान त्यांनी दिले.
कार्यक्रमाच्या प्रास्ताविकात मराठी पत्रकारिता वर्गाच्या समन्वयक आणि कार्यक्रमाच्या संयोजक नम्रता कडू यांनी वर्गाच्या वार्षिक कारकिर्दीचा आढावा घेतला. गरवारे व्यवसाय शिक्षण आणि विकास संस्थेचे संचालक डॉ. केयूर कुमार नायक यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखाली हा कार्यक्रम पार पडला. यावेळी अखिल भारतीय साहित्य परिषदेचे कोकण प्रांताचे कार्याध्यक्ष प्रवीण देशमुख, लोकमंगल प्रकाशनचे संदीप कुलकर्णी,विद्यापीठाचे सिनेट सदस्य धनेश सावंत, आकाशवाणी पुणे केंद्राचे माजी संचालक व वर्गाचे मार्गदर्शक नितीन केळकर, मृदुला राजवाडे, उमेश घळसासी, शैलेश कसबे आदी मान्यवर उपस्थित होते. या प्रसंगी 'नव माध्यमे- नव्या संधी, नवी आव्हाने'या संकल्पनेवर आधारित ‘गरवारे दर्पण’ या वार्षिक अंकाचे प्रकाशन करण्यात आले. तसेच मराठी पत्रकारिता वर्गातील माजी विद्यार्थ्यांचा सन्मान करण्यात आला. या वर्षीचा दि. वि. गोखले पुरस्कार सुवर्णपदक विजेते डॉ. संदीप वरकुटे यांना, विद्याधर गोखले पुरस्कार विशाल सवने यांना, तर डॉ. अरुण टिकेकर पुरस्कार महिला पत्रकार शर्वरी जोशी-सावंत यांना प्रदान करण्यात आला.
राज्यस्तरीय लेखन स्पर्धेत अद्वैत अविनाश सोवळे यांनी ‘कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता आणि मराठी भाषेचे बदलते स्वरूप’ या विषयावर लेख लिहून प्रथम क्रमांक मिळविला. द्वितीय क्रमांक शैला गेडाम (सायबर युगात महिलांची सुरक्षितता जाणीव आणि जबाबदारी) यांना मिळाला. तृतीय क्रमांक ज्योती हलगेकर-जाधव आणि डॉ. योगेंद्र शेळके यांनी विभागून मिळविला. उत्तेजनार्थ पारितोषिक प्रीती थोरात आणि विजय कामत यांना प्रदान करण्यात आले. तसेच विविध निवडक लेखांनाही गौरविण्यात आले.आजी-माजी विद्यार्थ्यांच्या उत्स्फूर्त उपस्थितीत कार्यक्रमाला विशेष रंगत आली.
कार्यक्रमाचे सूत्रसंचालन विद्यार्थिनी अनिशा डुंबरे हिने केले, तर आभार प्रदर्शन अशिती जोईल हिने केले. साहित्य, पत्रकारिता आणि विद्यार्थ्यांच्या सर्वांगीण विकासाला चालना देणारा वर्गाचा हा उपक्रम यशस्वीरीत्या साजरा झाला.

Paint Technology Prototype-II (Innovation Display)

The event “Paint Technology Prototype-II”, cantered on showcasing industry-oriented prototypes and applications in Paint Technology, was successfully organized by the Garware Institute of Career Education and Development, University of Mumbai. This event featured innovative prototypes and business models developed by the students of B.Sc. Paint Technology (Semester IV), reflecting a strong integration of academic knowledge with practical industry applications.

The judging panel included Dr. Keyurkumar Nayak, Director of Garware Institute of Career Education and Development, along with industry experts such as Brijesh Mishra from PPG Asian Paints Pvt. Ltd., Anand Salunkhe from Mahindkar Paint Tech, Prasad Deshpande from Godrej, Sanjana Shirodkar from Dry Chem Pvt. Ltd., and Chandrashekhar Sarwade from PPG USA. The panel was further strengthened by the presence of Arif Chaudhary from Chroma Paints & Chemicals Pvt. Ltd., Mir Tawde from Harlequin Paints Pvt. Ltd., Dr. Rashmi A. Nimkar from Intranova Trade and Training LLP, and Sudhakar Pokharkar from Janico Chemicals Pvt. Ltd.
The panel also included Brajendra Mishra from Krishna Conchem Products Pvt. Ltd., bringing extensive industry experience, along with K. Mohandas Shet, Ex-Safety Officer, and respected academic contributors Kiran Kulkarni and Satchidanand Ghurye, Visiting Faculty at UM-GICED. The panel was further enriched by the presence of Anil Rastogi from Hitech Ink Pvt. Ltd.
This diverse panel ensured that the evaluation was carried out from multiple perspectives, including technical performance, industrial relevance, safety considerations, sustainability, and innovation. Their valuable feedback and encouragement provided students with meaningful insights and motivation to further refine their ideas and align them with industry expectations.
The presence of such a highly accomplished jury not only elevated the standard of the event but also reinforced the strong industry-academia connect fostered by the institute.
