Republic day represents the true spirit of independent India. The Dominion of India transformed into the Republic of India with its constitution coming into effect on January 26, 1950. The Constitution ensured that the citizens had the power to govern themselves by choosing their own government. This day marks the completion of the country's transition toward becoming an independent republic. Although the constitution guaranteed all citizens of India with certain fundamental rights irrespective of the race, gender, place of birth or religion, does it really stand for equality 67 years later?

Performing with all they have got and reaching unscaled heights, they have bought great dignity along with their laurels to the country. 1.2 billion hearts swell up with pride as we watch these athletes represent our nation. We would like to take this opportunity to salute the Indian contingent at the Rio 2016 Olympics.
Additional congratulations to PV Sindhu for her outstanding performance and winning the badminton Silver medal at the games. Best wishes to Dipa Karmarkar for her future and a heartiest congratulations to Sakshi Malik for her wrestling Bronze.

Standing tall against all odds, Independent India turns 69. Although we are confronted with many problems today as an Independent nation, we get a clear idea of our capability on solving them when we compare them to the one we snapped out of in 1947.
May it be an external conflict or an internal plight, we've managed to tackle almost everything and emerge out as one triumphant nation.
Commemorating those who've laid down their lives trying to set India free from the tethers of colonial rule as well as those who've contributed to its post- Independence progress, MS TSEC wishes you a very Happy 70th Independence Day.
