Diwali is here to embrace us & light up new hopes.
Soch in association with Annapurna Nourishment Society (NAS) is geared up to conclude it's tradition of celebrating *_harGharDiwali_*
By spreading sweetness along with Hygiene.

It has been successfully celebrating this festive happiness amongst the lesser opportunistic classes by distributing *sweet boxes ( assorted healthy mithai )* to add flavours of happiness. This year, along with sweets, we have decided to add basic hygiene products to the Diwali hamper.
The Diwali Hamper consists of:
250 grms assorted sweets
Tooth paste
bar of soap
Hair oil
Eco-friendly Sanitary napkins

Together we can make a difference.
Together we can give a ray of hope to the under resourced
Together we can bring a wave of Happiness & Hygiene

Each hamper is for Rs. 150

A few members were able to join ,& pass down the medicines ,on the last Sunday of the year 2020 &

2021 . We unmasked Soch activities again & we hope that 2021 brings good fortune for everyone

On Sunday 23rd of June, Team SOCH Marched upto vasai where ex army officer kisan Lokhande sir who has served nation & also played an essential role in the kargil battle, keeping a word given to his parents
Started a
, a shelter home for all abandoned, mentally challenged, drug addictis, & all those who have been left at the mercy of their own destiny. A current strength of 106 such people out there, he single handedly looks after all of them, with assistance of his devoted team. Team SOCH had managed a health check up with help and support of Doctor Archna Patel & team who voluntarily joined us for the event. SOCH provided meals for the day right from breakfast to dinner, but intended not only to full thier stomachs but also filling their hearts with happy smiles, & for this mission we had our dear happy clown who won all the hearts magically promptly, Pravin Tulpule,sir
( Pravin sir who had served Indian navy for about almost 18 years, turned out to be a happy clown, dramatically.
It was a pleasure for by Team SOCH to have him on board with us. His act won hearts by miles).
With music & masti we take leave & grace the parting with a word of thanks only wit a promise to return back to spend another memorable day with them

Urjaa - electricity
A basic need & right of every human being, but sadly not far away from Mumbai, in one such village where tribal communities have been resident for years now, are far away from the benefits of electricity, as they do not have it, Alert Citizen Foundation a voluntary body which has been working for the rights of the tribals have managed to put up solar panels with the help of the local gram panchayat body, Team SOCH & Annapurna group, have provided the necessary equipments, batteries & inverter for smooth running of the power supply system. On 23rd December 2018, an inaugural ceremony for the same will be held, Both teams Annapurna & SOCH being in their 4th year are highly excited about celebrating the their 4 anniversary event , hence will perform a cake cutting ceremony, distribution of goodie packets, & entertainment programmes for 250 plus children who study in Jhilla prathmik shaada, Raitadi, Chimbatpada, Dahanu, in a class without electricity, Both Teams felt sad of their situation & dedicated efforts towards the bright future of the tribal children, also for their entertainment SOCH in it's 39th event has roped in a multi talented magician & Annapurna in it's project " urjaa " has called a dynamic Dj, & a rythmatic guitarist,
It will be a complete combination of magic & mysticism... Do join us, for the closing event of the ye 2018... With

Yes we r privileged to go to school
And we least expect was we get purified water
Clean classrooms, Proper sitting arrangements
Clean toilets n Obviously electricity through which we run tube lights n fans, And mostly we get everything & still had some complaints of watever we had.But what if I say tht students of a school which is situated in outskirts of Dahanu doesnt have all these things & only has hope tht someday they would b learning in a proper manner.
When SOCH and Annapurna group volunteers visited the school to get an exact idea of the situation we were stunned tht without having much they were still enthusiastic of learning.
With the thought Education for all 📖📝
SOCH And ANNAPURNA group decided tht we need to help the school with electricity which is must n least required. The local gram panchayat is helping the school with solar panel, But the solar panel requires batteries n invertor for smooth running of electicity .
We have zerod down on one quotation which is worth 80,000 ( for batteries, invertor n fitting charges )
We r also planning a basic health check up for school kids with the team of doctors who r helping us on humitarian grounds.
For the Entertainment part we have called upon a magician and a music system so tht the kids can dance and enjoy
We would b distributing food packets contaning samosa waffers fruti n a slice cake 🍰
The entire cost of this is Rs 1,00,000.

Yes, indeed it was a "happy diwali" for the team mates, donors & volunteers, with amazing stories & experiences to share this DIWALI.
Though divided we stood, yet united were we stretching from
colaba to Dahanu,
over 40 volunteers participated in a 3 day distribution drive.
4th, 5th, 6th, & 7th of November,
Divided into small sub teams, we stretched from spots where we found people who lived thier lives on streets, & small hutments. We just lightened the city of lights, with a small twinkling effort by spreading a smile & distributing sweets. A total of 2300 boxes was achieved only because of a supportive team working

An initiative by Annapurna group to celebrate diwali in it's true sense, by disturbing sweets & brining smiles on those faces who can not afford to buy sweets, the ones living hand to mouth, in huts, shanties & Streets of Mumbai City

It started with 550 boxes in 2015, which escalated to 1500 in 2016 & peaked 1800 boxes in 2017, from out skirts of Virar to interiors of colaba
With a helping hand from team & other associate groups of similar nature. It has now shaped up to be a mass event, where everyone can participate, donate, & volunteer. You all will be glad to know that with the past experiences & responses this time, the target number of sweet boxes to be distributed is 2000, which surely is an achievable one, with your kind support & desire to spread a smile.
One box of 270gms of assorted healthy sweet box costs rs 75/- only.

SOCH, born with an idea to spread smiles, did manage to serve some smiles to these adorable darlings on it's 37th event petvets, Thane, which is a home & hospital to the strays, the petvets team does an amazing job of taking care of all thier requirements & medications, a few team mates had dog fright but, they were the ones who enjoyed the most. It was a blessed feeling to able to spread love & vibes to these super loving pals, & all this was so very much possible because of the efforts of Rajvi Mithani thanks for adding a beautiful chapter in the memories of SOCH,
