Zonal Project Organized by Inner Wheel Clubs of Zone 5 – District 314
Venue: Vikramgad, Palghar
Date: 25th January 2026
Inner Wheel Clubs of Zone 5, District 314, successfully organized the Adivasi Samuh Vivah at Vikramgad, Palghar, on 25th January 2026. This noble zonal project supported 51 tribal couples, enabling them to solemnize their marriages with dignity through a traditional mass wedding ceremony. The event was conducted with proper rituals, blessings, and strong community participation. The initiative helped reduce the financial burden on underprivileged families while ensuring that each couple began their new journey with respect and celebration. total 14 clubs participated in the project from Zon 5 .
IWC Mumbai Bhandup (IWECMB) proudly contributed ₹2,500 towards this meaningful zonal project as a gesture of solidarity and service. Our contribution reflects our commitment to social upliftment, women empowerment, and inclusive community development. The project beautifully demonstrated Inner Wheels spirit of friendship and service, proving that collective efforts can create lasting and meaningful impact in society.

Inner wheel club Mumbai Bhandup donated school fees of Ms Kinjal Singh and her Mother they were present today to take handover of the symbolic NEFT receipts.
The school will
Issue letter of appreciations towards IWCMB and will also share the fee receipts of the girl Child .
A brief session of counselling to inspire the child was also done with the student .
We at IDBUS thank everyone who contributed generously for this proejct to support the education of this Girl student .
We have wished her for upcoming 10th exams from IWCMB family .

Report on Free Eye Check-up Camp
Organised by BMC S Ward in association with Inner Wheel Club of Mumbai Bhandup

🌟 Grand Launch
The Free Eye Check-up Camp was inaugurated on 17th September 2025 with great enthusiasm and community participation. The initiative, launched under the Namo Netra Sanjeevani Aarogya Abhiyaan, aimed to provide accessible and quality eye care services to the local community. Members of the Inner Wheel Club of Mumbai Bhandup, President Veena Shetty , Secretary Vaishali Nair And Vice president Simmi HAN along with representatives from BMC S Ward, graced the event and extended their wholehearted support.
👁️ Camp Highlights & Impact
• The camp ran successfully for 9 days, witnessing an active response from the community.
• Over 280 patients were seen during this period.
• Of these, 17 patients have been advised to undergo cataract surgery in one or both eyes.
• Around 30 free cataract surgeries will be performed to restore vision for these patients, giving them a new lease of life.
• The camp not only provided free consultations but also created awareness about preventive eye care and the importance of regular check-ups.
🌸 Felicitation Ceremony
As a gesture of gratitude and appreciation, a felicitation program was organised by the Inner Wheel Club of Mumbai Bhandup on 1st Oct 2025 which was the concluding day of the camp.
• IWC Mumbai Bhandup President Mrs. Veena Shetty and Secretary Mrs. Vaishali Nair felicitated 10 key persons who contributed to the smooth ex*****on of the camp.
• Special recognition was given to the dedicated medical team:
o Dr. Samruddhi K***a (Ophthalmologist)
o Dr. Himanshi (Optometrist)
• The felicitation extended to key BMC staff including Centre head Dr Vidya Prabhu , IMO Dr Shailesh and volunteers whose tireless efforts ensured that the camp reached and benefitted hundreds of patients.
This heartfelt acknowledgement reflected the spirit of collaboration, service, and community bonding.
💙 Community Response
The initiative received an overwhelming response from the residents of Vikhroli and nearby areas. Patients expressed heartfelt gratitude for the free and timely medical support. The involvement of community members, volunteers, and Inner Wheel Club members ensured smooth ex*****on and amplified the camp’s impact.
✅ Conclusion
The Free Eye Check-up Camp at Vikhroli West has been a significant step towards community health and well-being. By addressing preventable blindness and vision-related issues, the initiative has brought light and hope into many lives.
With 30 free cataract surgeries lined up, and the recognition of dedicated contributors, this initiative stands as a beacon of service and compassion, proving once again that small steps taken together can create a lasting impact.

Project: Donation of Groceries to self Esteem Foundation, Airoli
The Inner Wheel Club of Bhandup, under the leadership of President Mrs. Veena Shetty, carried out a meaningful project by donating groceries to self Esteem Foundation, Airoli.
The self Esteem Foundation is a dedicated center for gifted children and also functions as a day care facility, where children are nurtured, taught various skills, and trained to become independent. The children are encouraged to engage in creative and skill-based activities. They also produce and sell handmade items such as bags, diyas, agarbattis, and more, helping instill confidence and self-reliance.
Through this initiative, groceries and essential supplies were donated, benefitting 100+ children at the center.This project not only supported their nutritional needs but also extended encouragement to the Foundation’s efforts in skill development and empowerment.

This initiative not only provided material support but also served as a gesture of solidarity with self Esteem Foundation’s mission. By supporting their daily needs, the project enabled the children to focus on learning and creativity, while motivating the caregivers to continue their noble work.
