PARASHER BARUAH is a Film and Television Institute of India graduate in Cinematography. He is also a TEDx YOUTH speaker and was invited to speak on the Artefacting Mumbai/DharaviProject experience. He has directed more than a 100 music fils and worked on a number of travel shows. It was in 2008 that Baruah won a fellowship with InfoChange India and went on to direct a documentary film about the rag pickers of Dharavi called “ Waste”. The film was selected to be screened at the prestigious Munich Docfest in May 2009. Filmed over a period of 8 months; Waste explores the importance of Ragpickers role in managing city’s waste and the challenges they face everyday. The film follows 3 adolescent rag pickers Sameer, Santosh and Salman as they go about their daily lives and interviews other rag pickers and residents of Dharavi in the process.

PAROMITA (Romi) ROY is an architect, urban designer and the Deputy Director at the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), under the Ministry of Urban Development, GoI. SShe previously held a Senior Consulting position at the same organization i.e. the Unified Traffic and Transportation Infrastructure (Planning and Engineering) Centre (UTTIPEC), the statutory approval authority for Transportation projects under the aegis of DDA in India. She was the technical lead who spearheaded the creation and operationalization of the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) policy that has been incorporated in the Masterplan of Delhi 2021.
