PLEXCONCIL heartily welcomes the government’s landmark initiative to reduce GST rates on a slew of plastic products, which comes as a much needed relief for exporters who are facing tariff uncertainty in their major market, the USA.

This tariff reduction will reduce cost for manufacturers and traders dealing in plastic products, reduce working capital stress and cushion their liquidity position.

This will boost consumer demand and benefit end consumers as manufacturers will be in a position to reduce market prices in response to the GST rate cut.

We are confident that the GST reduction will promote domestic manufacturing and also support the government’s vision of Make in India.
