An awareness programme on Soil Health Management and Balanced Fertilizer Use was organized by ICAR-CIRCOT on May 21, 2026, at its MGMG-adopted village Telgaon, Kalmeshwar (Nagpur). An awareness programme on Soil Health Management and Balanced Fertilizer Use was organized by ICAR-CIRCOT on 15th May 2026 at its MGMG-adopted village Ramgiri, Kalmeshwar (Nagpur). The programme focused on strengthening farmers’ awareness of soil health as a key factor for sustainable crop production. It highlighted the importance of soil testing and recommended fertilizer application based on test results to improve nutrient use efficiency and lower input costs. Farmers were also made aware of the harmful effects of excessive chemical fertilizer use, including soil degradation, nutrient imbalance and environmental pollution, and were encouraged to follow balanced and integrated nutrient management practices. A total of 35 farmers including eleven women participated in the programme.

Farmers were also made aware of the harmful effects of excessive chemical fertilizer use, including soil degradation, nutrient imbalance and environmental pollution, and were encouraged to follow balanced and integrated nutrient management practices. A total of 24 farmers including eight women participated in the programme.

Farmers were also made aware of the harmful effects of excessive chemical fertilizer use, including soil degradation, nutrient imbalance and environmental pollution, and were encouraged to follow balanced and integrated nutrient management practices. A demonstration training programme on Dashparni Ark preparation was also conducted. A total of 35 farmers including 3 females participated in the programme.

Indian Fibre Society (IFS), Mumbai in association with ICAR-CIRCOT organized an Invited Lecture Series in hybrid mode on 6 May 2026 at Mumbai. The programme highlighted the growing importance of cotton fibre quality, traceability, sustainability, and global competitiveness of Indian cotton.

ICAR-CIRCOT organized an awareness programme on Soil Health Management & Balanced Fertilizer Use at MGMG-adopted village Kondhali, Katol (Nagpur) on 8 May 2026. Farmers were sensitized on crop residue management and value addition of cotton by-products through pellet making, briquetting, biochar & composting for better income, soil and environmental health. 30 farmers including 4 women participated.

ICAR-CIRCOT organized an awareness programme on Soil Health Management & Balanced Fertilizer Use at Ginning Training Centre, Nagpur on 07 May 2026 with 25 participants. Farmers were sensitized on soil testing, balanced nutrient management, composting, biochar production, and sustainable utilization of cotton by-products for improved soil health and income generation.

Experts from the cotton, textile, export, and ginning sectors discussed smart technologies, cotton traceability, sustainability, soil health management, and strategies to strengthen India’s cotton exports.
