World Recycling Day | Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation
On the occasion of World Recycling Day, 100 sanitary workers visited the MRF Centre cm Sustainability & Inspiration Centre, Mira Bhayandar.
They gained hands-on exposure to the process of plastic waste management and sustainable practices.

Under the Swachh Survekshan 2025-26,Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation organised a Wall Painting Competition was organized to inspire young minds towards sustainability. Students beautifully expressed messages on Say No to Single Use Plastic, Waste Management, RRR (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), and Energy Conservation through creative artwork.
These vibrant paintings reflect the spirit of Swachh Survekshan 2025–26 and strengthen community awareness for a cleaner and greener city.

Under the Nari Leads Swachhata Campaign, a Rangoli Competition was organized by the PIU Team for women sanitation workers in Zone 04, Maitri Vihar, Rambagh area under the Nagpur Municipal Corporation.
The women sanitation workers created beautiful rangolis, conveying messages of cleanliness, women empowerment, and community participation.
The program was attended by Senior Officer Mr. Arun Turkel, all Ward Jamadars, Corporator Mr. Subhash Ji Nanvatkar, Corporator Mrs. Kanchan Chouhan, Corporator Mrs. Sujata Tai, students from the local NGO Matru Seva Sangh Institute of Social Work, and local citizens.

Under “Nari Leads Swachhata” during International Women’s Day Week (8–14 March), Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation organized a special programme to honour women sanitation workers in collaboration with Keshav Srushti.
The event included games, interactive activities, felicitation, and lunch for sanitation workers while also commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Sant Gadge Maharaj, spreading his message of cleanliness and social service.
