District Commissioner, Baksa, Kimnei Changsan, IAS, today attended the ‘Angan Milan Sewa’ programme organised at Barbari Model Anganwadi Centre under the Baksa ICDS Project as part of the observation of Seva Aur Samarpan Month.

During the programme, the District Commissioner interacted with the children at the Anganwadi Centre and spent time engaging with them. She also interacted with Anganwadi Workers, Helpers and beneficiaries and took feedback on the services being provided at the centre.

The District Commissioner also distributed cheques to Anganwadi Helpers during the programme.

The team inspected the road conditions and took stock of the difficulties and inconvenience faced by commuters and the public, and assessed the situation on the ground.

A block-level Seva Setu Camp under Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026, themed “Sarkar Janta Ke Dwar”, was organised today at the Barama Block Office Campus,Barama, by the District Administration, Baksa.

The programme was attended by District Commissioner, Baksa, Kimnei Changsan, IAS; MLA Maneswar Brahma; MCLA Ridip Kumar Deka; ADC and Supervisory Officer Mustafa Salim Ahmed;Birabal Basumatary,BDO Barama; Rajani Barjauwari, Chairman, Barama Municipal Board;Rindaw Basumatary Chairman Mushalpur Municipal Board, along with officials from various line departments.

The Seva Setu Camp brought together officials from different departments and service providers on a common platform, enabling citizens to access information and assistance relating to 24 notified Central and State Government schemes, along with various other government services.

Dedicated departmental counters were set up to assist citizens with scheme-related information, registration, application submission, document verification and grievance redressal.

A Health and Wellness Camp was also conducted alongside the Seva Setu Camp, providing consultation, health screening, awareness, referrals and other healthcare services. Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) screening, along with Aadhaar enrolment and updation and AB-PMJAY-related services, was also facilitated at the venue.

District Commissioner, Baksa, Kimnei Changsan IAS, conducted a surprise inspection of Barama Model Hospital on Saturday, with a focus on assessing the functioning of the hospital and the quality of healthcare services being extended to the public.

During the inspection, the DC took a detailed review of patient-care facilities, availability of essential medicines and medical equipment, manpower, cleanliness and other key aspects of hospital operations.

District Commissioner also interacted with patients to understand their experiences and receive direct feedback on the services and facilities being provided.

As part of the Special Drive for grant of titles under the Forest Rights Act (FRA), 2006, a total of 59 FRA titles were distributed today, 2nd October, 2026, at the Conference Hall, Office of the District Commissioner, Baksa.

The programme was held in the presence of the District Commissioner, Baksa, the Hon’ble MCLA, BTC, Baksa, and other concerned stakeholders. The distribution of FRA titles marks an important step towards recognising and securing the forest rights of eligible beneficiaries in accordance with the provisions of the Forest Rights Act, 2006.
