Canary creeper or Senecio tamoides, is a creeper. The yellow flowers are a bright and happy sight in the garden. Some parts of the Southern Hemisphere consider it a highly invasive w**d. The yellow Daisy like flower clusters are attractive and trained on a trellis it can be quite a show stopper.

The glorious green that is the garden. The white speckled Dieffenbachia was named by Heinrich Wilhelm Schott, director of the Botanical Gardens in Vienna, to honor his head gardener Joseph Dieffenbach. It is called โDumb Caneโ due to its toxic sap that causes irritation when ingested, this plant is not ideal for a space with small children or curious pets. The foliage however can brighten up your living spaces and your verandah. The Dieffenbachia's broad, patterned leaves make it an excellent companion in plant clusters. So what are you waiting for, pick up one of these today to add to your indoor plant styling.

The name dracaena is derived from the romanized form of the Ancient Greek ฮดฯฮฌฮบฮฑฮนฮฝฮฑ โ drakaina, "female dragon". That is as exotic or sophisticated as it gets. Dracaena Marginata or Madagascar Dragon Tree Plants, make a big impact as an indoor plant. They grow to be tall trees that aren't just visually stunning in a space. They are a great addition as a splash of colour or a draw with their vertical elegance. The spikes always reminds me of an unruly mop of hair on a young child. There are enough and more varieties to explore in this family to suit your styling.

Let us try. That is in our hands. The persistence. The patience. Gardening is all about waiting. My mango sapling is showing signs of distress. I have tried to address it and I hope it recovers. It comes from a special batch of mangoes all the way from Hyderabad from a friend who has since moved to America. It is a year old. The memories of a warm friendship born out of mutual respect and trust. Maybe I see her again maybe I donโt but this Mango tree is a constant reminder of happier summers spent together discussing plants (what-else do you think) ๐Hold close the people who share and care for your interests as much as you do. Who is that one person who you spend time talking plants?

Busy old fool, unruly sun,
Why dost thou thus,
Through windows, and through curtains call on us?
Must to thy motions lovers' seasons run?
Saucy pedantic wretch, go chide
Late school boys and sour prentices,
Go tell court huntsmen that the king will ride,
Call country ants to harvest offices,
Love, all alike, no season knows nor clime,
Nor hours, days, months, which are the rags of time.
~ The Sun Rising by John Donne

Sprengerโs asparagus fern, Asparagus fern plant, Asparagus meyeri, Fox Tail Fern, Emerald Fern all names for this glorious beauty. This plant can attain a height of 2โฒ to 3โฒ feet and a spread of 3โฒ to 4โฒ feet.
Evergreen needle-like leaves on attractive arching stems and fern-like, but this plant is not actually a true fern.
So whatโs not to like about this beauty, well when the leaves shed you will have a bed out yellow pine needle like carpet on the floor. Over sun exposure causes this plantโs leaves to yellow and drop off overnight. It produces very small white flowers that transition into bright red berries.
So next time be sure to pick them up when you visit your nursery.

With a name as exotic as the flower, Rangoon Creeper is a profusely flowering vine. The heady scent during spring and summer has inspired the name Madhu Malati and poetry across generations. The flowers are a favourite with honey ๐ and the incessant buzz heard is music to my years every spring season. The ๐ really are doing us a favour. The long stemmed flowers of the Combretum indicum/ Rangoon Creeper do put on a spectacular show in the garden every year. A must have in the garden. The vine climbs and adapts beautifully to a trellis or the balcony garden.Thank me later when you hear the ๐making a racket and the scent sends you into a pleasant reverie.
