🗓 On 24 June we mark the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Soviet Information Bureau (Sovinformburo).

🎙 Established in the first days of the Great Patriotic War, Sovinformburo became the country's primary source of frontline news. Millions of people gathered around their radios each day to listen to its reports.

📍 Throughout the war, the Bureau issued thousands of reports and bulletins, keeping citizens informed about developments on the front lines, the achievements of workers on the home front, and other major events. These messages played an important role in sustaining public morale during the difficult years of the war.

⭐️ Today, the international media group Rossiya Segodnya is the successor to Sovinformburo. For more than 80 years, the tradition of strong, professional journalism established by the Bureau has continued to evolve and thrive.
