s. The infrastructure speaks for the quality and contribution of the institution to Higher Learning. In fact, the institution was upgraded and developed to the status of a full -fledged First Grade College in 1920 for providing Higher Education leading to the award of University Degrees. Responding to the socio-¬economic needs, the institution diversified its curriculum from a purely Arts and social sciences institution into Commerce and Management in 1983. Thus, the nomenclature was changed as Maharani’s Arts and Commerce College for Women in 2009. In the meanwhile, the college was accorded recognition under Section 2 [f] and 12 [b] of the UGC Act. The dream of starting PG programs, exclusively for women, became a reality in 2007. Being in the forefront of Higher Education, the institution has a well-qualified, experienced, committed and dedicated teaching faculty to its credit. Above all, the institution was reaccredited with Grade B at CGPA of 2.61 on a Four point scale in 2009
