With the India Meteorological Department (IMD) confirming a strong El Niño building up, our country is staring at major monsoon deficits, blistering heatwaves, and a potentially brutal drought ahead. If we don’t act right now, our cities and villages will run completely dry.
Whether you live in a concrete metro apartment or a rural agricultural heartland, your duty to save water looks different, but it is equally critical.

Stop letting rainwater just wash over concrete roads and go to waste. Implement Rainwater Harvesting (RWH) in your apartments and societies immediately. Save every single drop to recharge our rapidly dying urban borewells. 🏢💧

𝙄𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙑𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙨 (𝙂𝙖𝙤𝙣):
Protect your local baolis, ponds, and wells. Conserve existing water bodies and aggressively plant native trees like Neem, Banyan, and Peepal to lock moisture into the soil and guard against crop failures. 🌳🌾

As the AWBI Raigad Representative — I urge you all to read the latest 𝗦𝗢𝗣 𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟳 𝗡𝗼𝘃 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗯𝘆 𝗔𝗪𝗕𝗜📄👇

This isn’t against dogs — it’s in favour of both dogs and dog-feeders/animal-lovers. 🐶❤️

This SOP brings clarity: institutional spaces like schools, hospitals, bus-stands etc. must be kept safe — means no stray dogs roaming where kids, patients or travellers are vulnerable.

At the same time, AWBI continues to protect the rights of dog-feeders and ensures humane treatment: feeding & care remain legal — just that feeding must be done responsibly & away from sensitive zones.
