BANARASI TRADITION AT URBAN HAAT

Banarasi Silk (also known as Benarasi SIlk) is a fine variant of Silk originating from the city of Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, India. ... Originally crafted exclusively for the royalty, each Banarasi sari was created from real gold and silver threads, taking as much as a year to make.
Our artisans , weavers from Varanasi have been weaving brocades with intricate designs using gold and silver on Sarees , Dress Materials and Dupattas.

Banarasi varieties at Urbanhaat , namely pure silk (katan), organza (kora) with zari and silk, georgette and shattir. Of these, the pure silk variety is the most renown. On the basis of design, Banarasi sarees are also classified into jangla, tanchoi, vaskat, cutwork, tissue and butidar.

The saris are among the finest saris in India and are known for their gold and silver brocade or zari, fine silk and opulent embroidery.

UrbanHaat is an ever permanent fair for crafts , food and cultural activities . The Handicrafts Exhibition 2020 (30th October to 8th November) is presenting works of craftsmen and artisans from 10 different states of India . The place not only offers an experience of the lush green , scenic spots and environmental friendly space but a range of exciting products like textiles , apparels , jewellery , home linens , accessories , art and more.

UrbanHaat welcomes all for a shopping experience.

UrbanHaat is located in Belapur at the center of Navi Mumbai . The site is next to CBD railway station.

Exhibition Handicraft 2020 , inaugration by Shri.Rajendra Singh (Asst. Director Handicrafts- Office of Develepmnt Commissioner , Western Region, Mumbai ) in the presence of ACP (SP) Shri. Ashutosh Uikey ,CIDCO Ltd. on 30th October'2020.
