ICAR–National Institute of Agricultural Economics and Policy Research (ICAR-NIAP), New Delhi, successfully organized a panel discussion on “Empowering BRICS+ against Climate Shocks: Pathways to Resilience and Sustainability” as part of India's BRICS Presidency initiatives.
The discussion brought together distinguished experts from diverse fields to deliberate on critical issues related to climate resilience, sustainable agriculture, climate justice, agricultural risk management, climate finance, and food security.

Campaign on Balanced Fertiliser Use (5 May 2026)
ICAR–NIAP conducted an awareness programme on the balanced use of fertilisers at Sithana and Basada villages in Panipat district of Haryana.
During the session, Dr. Subhash Chand, Principal Scientist, along with Mr. Arvind Kumar (YP-II), educated the villagers on key aspects of soil balanced nutrient management and strategies to reduce fertiliser costs for improved crop production.
Dr. Subhash Chand elaborated on the importance of balanced nutrient management in maintaining soil health and enhancing agricultural productivity. He highlighted the role of essential nutrients, proper fertiliser application, soil testing, and scientific farming practices in achieving higher yields and promoting sustainable agriculture.
