“Scouting instils discipline, builds character and prepares young minds for a life of leadership and service.”
Banasthali Public School organised its sixth Hindustan Scouts and Guides (HSG) Unit Camp from 15th to 17th October 2026 for students of Classes II to XII, in collaboration with the Hindustan Scouts and Guides Association, recognised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, and affiliated with the World Federation of Independent Scouts, Germany. The three-day camp was conducted under the guidance of expert trainers from the National Headquarters.
The camp aimed to nurture discipline, self-reliance, leadership, teamwork, physical preparedness and a spirit of service through experiential activities, including flag ceremonies, advanced knotting and lacing, direction-finding, marching, gadget-making, adventure activities and tent-pitching. These activities enhanced students’ confidence, problem-solving abilities, adaptability and sense of collective responsibility.
The school follows a structured progression of six HSG training and testing levels. Successful completion of all six levels qualifies students for eligibility for the Governor’s Award, known as the Rajya Puraskar. The camp also provided an opportunity for newcomers to begin their HSG training journey.
The camp culminated in a closing ceremony on 17th October 2026, featuring certificate and medal distribution to recognise students’ participation and achievements. The occasion also acknowledged the valuable contributions of the dignitaries, trainers, organisers and school leadership, celebrating the spirit of learning, dedication and excellence.
