Kathak Kendra New Delhi

Kathak Kendra, a Constituent Unit of Sangeet Natak Akademi, an autonomous body of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, celebrated World Dance Day on 29 April 2026. On this occasion, Shri Aneish P. Rajan, Director, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, Manjushree Chatterjee, Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardee, Shri Raju Das, Secretary, Sangeet Natak Akademi and Dr Y. Theba Devi, Director, Kathak Kendra graced the event with their presence.

Surashree Bhattacharya, Dheerendra Tiwari, Gauri Diwakar, and Abhimanyu Lal presented Kathak performances that brought the stage to life. Their performances enchanted the audience and showcased the rich tradition of Kathak dance.
