✈️ Celebrating a Career That Shaped Indian Aviation

After 36 years and 10 months of service, Shri Sandeep Mukherjee brings an accomplished chapter of his aviation career to a close.

Beginning at Kolkata in 1989, his professional journey took him through Cooch Behar, Lucknow, Varanasi, IGI Airport Delhi, Raipur and CHQ New Delhi, with roles spanning ATC instruction, radar training, examination, operational leadership and headquarters responsibilities.

As an ATC Instructor and Radar Instructor & Examiner, he contributed to developing operational expertise. At Raipur, as ATS-in-Charge, he was associated with several significant infrastructure and operational initiatives, including the new ATC Tower, extended runway, CAT II lighting, Approach Unit bifurcation, ADS-B implementation and Ambikapur Airport licensing.

At CHQ, his work extended to matters with wider relevance to the ATC community, including WDTL implementation across Indian airports and the development of the Fatigue Management Policy for ATCOs in India.

A career that began with frontline ATC responsibilities evolved into contributions at the national level—leaving behind experience, knowledge and initiatives that will continue to serve the profession.

As he enters retirement on 30 September 2026, ATC Guild India extends its sincere appreciation for his years of service.

From CATC Allahabad to Ahmedabad, and through Srinagar, Rajkot, and Bhubaneswar, Shri Harshad J Parmar’s journey reflects 35 years of dedication, professionalism and commitment to Air Traffic Management.

Beginning his ATC career in 1991, he went on to serve across multiple stations and responsibilities, including Tower & Approach Control, ATS-in-Charge, Airport In-charge and various operational assignments.

After 35 years, 4 months and 3 days of distinguished service, he signs off from AAI, leaving behind a legacy of experience, leadership and countless safe skies.

✈️ From IGI New Delhi to CATC Prayagraj — A Journey of 33 Years in ATC

Shri Rajesh Kumar, Jt. General Manager (ATM), completes an illustrious journey of 33 years, 5 months and 11 days in the service of AAI.

Starting his professional journey at IGI New Delhi in 1993, he served at Varanasi, Lucknow and CATC Prayagraj, taking on diverse operational, administrative and training responsibilities.

His contributions include serving as OSD to Airport Director, In-charge of MT, Fire & Security, OSD to Principal and Airport In-charge, along with developing 5 STP Courses and contributing as an ICAO-qualified Course Developer.

As he retires on 30 September 2026, his journey stands as a testament to dedication, expertise and service to the ATC profession.
