With the India–Oman CEPA entering into force today, a stronger framework is now in place to support the next phase of economic engagement between the two countries. The Agreement will help unlock new avenues for trade, investment and business collaboration, while building on the longstanding partnership between India and Oman.

As businesses across sectors prepare to leverage the opportunities created by the CEPA, the Agreement is expected to drive greater economic activity, strengthen regional connectivity and contribute to a more resilient and future-ready trade relationship.

India-Oman CEPA enters into force today, marking a significant milestone in the economic partnership between the two countries.

The agreement will strengthen India's access to the GCC and wider Middle East markets, reinforce centuries-old India-Oman ties, and build on growing bilateral trade which reached USD 11.18 billion in FY 2025-26.

With over 6 lakh Indians in Oman and strong trade complementarities, the CEPA is set to boost exports, competitiveness and long-term economic cooperation.

‘दिव्या’ चैटबॉट और ‘सखी’ चैटबॉट के एकीकरण से अब परिवारों को सरकारी योजनाओं एवं विश्वसनीय सहायता सेवाओं तक अधिक सरल, त्वरित और समावेशी पहुंच प्राप्त होगी।

यह कदम एक अधिक सुगम्य, जागरूक और समावेशी भारत की ओर सशक्त कदम है।

The PHD Chamber Of Commerce and Industry organized the Conference on AI-Powered Assistive Technology for Divyangjan Empowerment – “Accelerating Viksit Bharat through Inclusive Innovation” today at PHD House, bringing together policymakers, financial institutions, industry leaders, startups, innovators, and domain experts to deliberate on strengthening India’s assistive technology (AT) ecosystem.

The conference focused on advancing innovation, affordability, accessibility, and financing mechanisms for assistive technology to empower Divyangjan and accelerate the vision of Viksit Bharat through inclusive technological progress.

Among the distinguished dignitaries present were Ms. Manmeet Kaur Nanda, Additional Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, MSJE, Shri Jatinder Singh, Deputy Secretary General, PHDCCI; and Shri Praveen Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director ALIMCO, along with several eminent experts and stakeholders from the assistive technology sector.

The conference reaffirmed the collective commitment of government, industry, academia, and civil society to foster an inclusive innovation ecosystem and strengthen India’s position as a global leader in assistive technology.

Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, MSJE has partnered with Nayi Disha Resource Centre to strengthen access to information, guidance and support for families of persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDDs).

Through the integration of DEPwD’s Divya chatbot and Nayi Disha’s Sakhi platform, families can now access trusted support services and information on government schemes through a more connected and inclusive digital ecosystem.

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment towards improving accessibility, awareness and timely guidance for families across India.
