On the occasion of International Women’s Day, an in-house awareness and health check-up program was organized on 09.03.2026 in collaboration with the Rotary Club, under the guidance and direction of the Sh. Pankaj Gupta, Ld. Chairperson, Southwest DLSA/ Principal District and Sessions Judge, Sh. Shubham Devadiya, Ld. Secretary Southwest DLSA. The event was also graced by the presence of Ld. District Judge, (Commercial Court) Sh. Gautam Manan.
The initiative aimed to promote health awareness and overall well-being among the female staff and visitors present in the court complex.
During the program, various medical facilities and health screening tests were provided from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, including lung function tests, eyesight examinations, dental check-ups, blood donation, and mammography for breast screening. Medical professionals conducted the tests and also offered basic consultations and guidance regarding preventive healthcare and the early detection of potential health issues.

The program witnessed active participation and served as a meaningful step toward encouraging women to prioritize their health and well-being. Following the health camp, a few engaging and interactive activities were also organized for the female staff of the court complex to celebrate the spirit of Women’s Day and to acknowledge their valuable contributions to the workplace

Awareness, Assistance, and Empowerment-
On the occasion of Women’s Day, 8th March 2026, a community service camp was organized at A Block, Dharampura, in Jangra Dharmshala, Najafgarh, under the direction of *Secretary by DSLSA South-West, Dwarka* . The initiative aimed to bring essential services closer to the residents of the community.
The camp featured several help desks dedicated to Aadhaar Card registration and updates, Voter ID Card applications, PAN Card assistance, sanitary pad distribution, and basic health check-ups.
The camp commenced at 10:00 AM and continued until 4:30 PM. Throughout the day, our team actively assisted people in completing the necessary procedures for obtaining or updating their Aadhaar Cards, PAN Cards, and Voter ID Cards. Many residents visited the camp and benefited from the services provided.
In addition to document-related assistance, sanitary pads were distributed to raise awareness about menstrual hygiene and to support women in the community. A health check-up desk was also set up where individuals could receive basic medical examinations and guidance.

The camp served as a meaningful initiative to support the local community by making important government services and health facilities easily accessible to everyone, reflecting the spirit of Women’s Day by empowering and assisting the people of the area.

In observance of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, South-West District Legal Services Authority organized an awareness session on 26th June 2025 at 04:00 PM at the Night Shelter, Matiala Phase-3, Dwarka. The session focused on NALSA’s DAWN Scheme (Drug Awareness and Wellness Navigation - For a Drug Free India), aiming to educate the residents about the ill effects of substance abuse and the legal support available to them. The programme witnessed active participation from community members and emphasized the importance of collective efforts in combating drug abuse and promoting a healthy lifestyle.

South-West District Legal Services Authority observed the “International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking” on 26th June 2025 at 2:00 PM by organizing an awareness session at Jan Sahas NGO, Kapashera Village. The session was focused on NALSA’s DAWN Scheme (Drug Awareness and Wellness Navigation - For a Drug Free India) to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the legal provisions related to it. The programme aimed to sensitize the community and promote a healthier, drug-free lifestyle, with active participation from community members, NGO representatives, and beneficiaries.

South-West District Legal Services Authority, in coordination with Jan Sahas NGO, organized an awareness session to observe the ‘World Day Against Child Labour’. The session focused on the “Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986” and was conducted by Sh. Santosh Mishra, LAC. The program aimed to educate participants about the harmful effects of child labour and the legal mechanisms available to prevent it. In addition, participants were sensitized to various NALSA schemes such as SAATHI (Survey for Aadhaar and Access to Tracking & Holistic Inclusion Scheme), DAWN (Drug Awareness and Wellness Navigation – For a Drug-Free India), SAMVAD (Strengthening Access to Justice for Marginalized, Vulnerable Adivasis and Denotified/Nomadic Tribes Scheme), and JAGRITI (Justice Awareness for Grassroots Information and Transparency Initiative Scheme). The session promoted legal awareness, access to justice, and welfare initiatives for children and other vulnerable communities.

To mark the observance of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day on 15.06.2025, South-West DLSA, in collaboration with RWA Kesarwani CGHS Ltd., organized an awareness session for senior citizens. The programme was aimed at sensitizing the elderly about their legal rights and entitlements and was conducted by LAC Ms. Sangeeta.
The session highlighted key provisions of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, and informed participants about various welfare schemes including old age pension, health benefits, and available legal remedies in cases of abuse or neglect. The event emphasized ensuring dignity, respect, and safety for the elderly and encouraged them to stay informed and empowered.

On the occasion of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, South-West DLSA, in coordination with the RWA, organized an awareness session for senior citizens at Studio Apartment, Sector 16B, Dwarka, on 15.06.2025. The session was conducted by Legal Aid Counsel Ms. Jyoti Gandhi and focused on raising awareness about the rights, safety, and entitlements of elderly citizens.
Senior participants were informed about the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, and schemes such as old age pension, healthcare benefits, and legal protections available to them. The programme emphasized the importance of respect, dignity, and support for the elderly and encouraged them to approach DLSA in case of any abuse or legal need.

The session, conducted by Legal Aid Counsel Sh. M.R. Jangid, aimed at informing senior residents about their legal rights and welfare provisions under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007.
Participants were also sensitized about various pension and healthcare schemes meant for the elderly. The interactive session encouraged senior citizens to voice their concerns and understand how to seek legal assistance in case of abuse or neglect.

To mark the observance of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, which is dedicated to raising awareness about the abuse, neglect, and exploitation faced by senior citizens and promoting their dignity, safety, and rights, South-West District Legal Services Authority (SW-DLSA), in coordination with SPOWAC NGO, organized an awareness session for senior citizens on 14.06.2025 at Pitaji ka Bridhashram.
The session was conducted by LAC Ms. Shashi and focused on various welfare schemes and legal rights available to senior citizens, including pension entitlements and provisions under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007. The program aimed to empower elderly participants with knowledge of their legal protections and entitlements to promote their well-being and safeguard their interests.
