In adherence with directives of Ministry of Textiles, the 9th Cross Functional Team Meeting was conducted by NHDC, Regional Office, Coimbatore, to-date. The meeting was aimed at strengthening convergence at the field level through collaborative efforts among various verticals. The key objectives included facilitating the exchange of information, effective grievance redressal, and creating awareness among stakeholders regarding the availability of various schemes, services, and initiatives of the Ministry of Textiles.

A highly engaging DIY Workshop on Natural Dyeing was conducted on 17 August 2026 at Banasthali Vidyapith as part of the DIY activities planned for the 12th National Handloom Day.

The workshop was conducted by Shri Sanjay Kumar Joshi, DGM (Commercial), NHDC, along with Ms. Gayatri, Founder, Resseda Plant Science. The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and women associated with the Banasthali Anopcharik Centre.

The event was attended by the Dean and professors of Home Science, along with Laad Jiji from the Centre. Participants gained valuable hands-on experience in exploring the potential of natural dyes and sustainable textile practices. The event was supported by O/o DCHL.
