A cleaner campus begins with cleaner energy.

Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, is now an LPG-Free Zone, with PNG connectivity across the campus.

Smt. Sangeeta Shukla, Vice Chancellor, CCS University, and Shri Vinay Kumar, GM (OIC), GAIL Gas Meerut, made the declaration in the presence of university staff and GAIL Gas officials.

This initiative is part of NIRMAN by GAIL Gas, reflecting our commitment to expanding access to cleaner energy and supporting a more sustainable future.

Speaking on the sidelines of the release of TERI’s study, Comparative Assessment of Vehicular Fuels in India’s Energy Transition: A Multi-Dimensional Approach, in New Delhi, Shri Ashu Shinghal, CEO, GAIL Gas Limited, spoke about the role of CNG and natural gas in India’s transition towards cleaner mobility and energy.

He highlighted CNG’s growing adoption, lower emissions and expanding infrastructure, while also noting the potential of CBG blending to further reduce the carbon footprint of natural gas.

As India expands its natural gas ecosystem, CNG, PNG and CBG can play a growing role across mobility, homes, commercial establishments and industries.

The Unified GOBARdhan Portal has been launched to bring stakeholders closer to the GOBARdhan ecosystem and support a more streamlined digital interface for the sector.

The portal strengthens access to information and digital services for CBG, Biogas and Bio-CNG stakeholders, supporting greater participation and coordination across the ecosystem.
