The truth about the G20 summit
The G20 summit is over. Like the rainy season, the government has drowned our hard-earned money . There was a budget to spend Rs 990 crore but the Modi government spent Rs 4000 crore i.e. four times the money only on luxuries. Even if there were no gold and silver plates, foreigners could still eat food, but what about the government? They defrauded the country due to their election propaganda. 17 meetings of G20 have been held in different countries. Have those 17 countries also wasted money like India? Which country has spent so much on G20? How much has G20 spent so far? What has been achieved from the meetings so far? Why do G-20 countries not accept the decisions taken in their own meetings? Has G-20 become just a show-piece organization?
Friends! The first question is, what did the our country get from this conference? By spending 4000 crores instead of 1000 crores, Narendra Modi got a chance to shine, got a chance to put up his hoardings, got a chance to create momentum before the elections. Godi Media got a great opportunity to glorify Modi .PM got a chance to get his photo clicked, got a chance to hide the poor behind the curtains and call himself a development-man , but what did our country get? India got the expenditure, that too a fake burden because India alone They are not the ones who have organized the G20 meeting. Even before this, 17 meetings were held from 2008 to 2022, but these countries did not wasted money like India. The last meeting was held in Bali, Indonesia. Indonesia spent only Rs 364 crore on that meeting and we spent only Rs 4000 crore.
Let understand how our money was wasted in luxury. When the G20 meeting was held in Japan in 2019, Japan spent Rs 2000 crore on the G20. When the G20 meeting was held in Argentina in 2018, that too Rs 931 crore was spent. When the G20 meeting was held in Germany in 2017, Germany also spent only Rs 642 crores. How much did Russia spend? Rs 170 crores. The budget made for the G20 conference was Rs 990 crores and it spent Rs 4000 crores. Whereas in India G20 conference was held in the capital of our country, the infrastructure to organize a diplomatic conference is already present in the capital, after all, where would the BJP spend ₹ 4000 crores if India leaves its capital and goes to some other place? If city like Bengaluru and Hyderabad had organized the G20 conference , it seems that the Modi government would have had to take a loan from IMF or World Bank.
Wouldn't spending Rs 4000 crore instead of Rs 990 crore be called a scam? Had it been in any other government, it could have been a scam, but in the BJP government, there is no misconduct, misuse of money, like the commonwealth games were organized by Congress. So you can call it a commonwealth scam, you can call it a scam by selling bedsheets, pillows, toilet tissue paper etc. at a higher price than the market price, but when the BJP government spends more than the fixed amount, then it is not called increasing its quality.
There was a mess in the construction of Dwarka Expressway. Instead of Rs 18 crore per kilometre, Rs 250 crore were spent per kilometre. The country's constitutional body CAG said that this is a huge mess, it is the height of corruption, but the Modi government said that , we have to build a very good road. It takes a lot of money to build it. Does anyone have a yardstick to differentiate between strong and good?
But the question arises, what has the world got from the G20 meeting? Friends, the decisions of the G-20e meeting are of no use. These people have been discussing global warming and the economic situation since 2008, but has the economic situation improved and has anything happened to global warming? G20 countries say that we have to stop using coal energy to reduce heat. Can anyone stop using coal? Was it said in G20 to stop using coal, but friends, in 2022, the International Energy Agency has Told that coal-based power generation across the world has reached a new height, investment in coal is expected to increase by 10% to 150 billion dollars this year. To accept the decisions taken in the G-20 meeting or Are there any binding arrangements to follow? If the Godi media or the BJP government brags that we have made many agreement then you should understand that there is no agreement in G20, only talks take place, mutual cooperation is agreed upon, neither the group of G-20 will help anyone. G20 can neither punish nor force anyone. G20 neither help anyone with money nor provide justice.
In 2021, the G20 supported a major tax reform that included a global minimum tax of at least 15% for every country. It also supported new rules that would require large businesses like Amazon to pay taxes in those countries. Where their products are sold. Even if they do not have offices, the Global Minimum Tax Agreement is a big step but it has not been implemented yet. And no significant consensus or progress has been achieved in the Delhi meeting either.
So should we compare the G20 meetings with the village panchayat meetings where our elders go to pass time? This is not a time pass discussion under the Peepal tree. Here the government had decided to spend Rs 990 crore for this discussion but the government spent Rs 4000 crore of our tax money on gold and silver plates in expensive hotels for the guests to visit. 20 Lamborghinis were brought on rent, their hired drivers were engaged and money wasted in their training, Modi ji insists on saving a lot of money, talks about honor on the radio and tells his leaders to give their own Range Rover cars. If for two days the guests for government programs had gone around in a Range Rover instead of a Lamborghini, would their pride have been disrespected? Security issues have already been solved with the red eyes of Modi. G-20 is held in different countries every time. In simple words, you have given a party to 20 friends, every year some friends among these 20 friends will give you a party. Will keep giving means that once you have fed 20 people, 20 friends will keep giving you a party one by one every year.
Talking about the beginning of G20, in 2008, the world was facing an economic recession. America's economic condition had become worse, hence when its first meeting was held in America in 2008, only economic matters were discussed. America with other countries, asked India how America has been ruined and how can it be populated? Then the Manmohan Singh government told America to stop taking more loans than earnings, this is a sign of your destruction, you should cut your expenses as much as you can. America had then gained knowledge and had implemented many suggestions and policies of the Manmohan Singh government. And he also got benefitted from it.
Therefore, whenever you ask someone what happens in the G20 meetings, they tell you that economic matters are discussed and when asked, they tell that global warming is discussed. G20 is an organization of big countries but only for show. These people cannot take any decision. Just now there was a discussion about the war between Ukraine and Russia in G20 in India but it has no meaning. A warrant for the arrest of "Putin" has been issued from the International Court of Justice. Will G20 be able to arrest Putin? Absolutely not.
Overall, nothing is achieved from G20, just the Prime Ministers or Presidents of 20 countries meet at one place, get photographed, have fun and go away.
In G20, there is talk of improving the economic condition of the world but barring a few exceptions, no significant impact has ever been seen in the world. You will see a lot of pomp and show in the G20 meeting. You will see heads of 20 big economy countries. Will see to decide the agenda. But if you investigate deeply, nothing has been achieved so far from the G20. Even after the first agreement on issues like climate change, nothing has happened. There is no obligation on the G20 members to speak on the G20 platform. Not only will they fulfill their promises, G20 also does not have any means by which anything can be done to implement these things, like there are talks and discussions in the United Nations, they have the money, they have power, It has army which is used by United Nation in many issues. There is nothing like this in G20. G20 is a lion without teeth and nails.
