On 21st November, the Chennai CSR Volunteer Team conducted an energetic C++ programming session for 40+ students, Class 11 Computer Science students at the Government Higher Secondary School.
Our volunteer, Arvind C, led an interactive and hands-on session covering the basics of C++—program structure, data types, variables, input/output, and simple logic-building exercises.
The session not only sparked curiosity but also strengthened the students’ foundation, showing how C++ becomes a powerful stepping stone for future programming learning.

Celebrating Knowledge, Talent & Togetherness!
On November 12th, our Bengaluru CSR team hosted Share & Support Day—an exciting inter-school quiz competition at our Bengaluru office. Five SSIF-supported schools participated, forming five enthusiastic teams that kept the competition lively for over three hours!
After an intense battle of brains, students lit up the stage with energetic cultural dance performances.

✨ Lighting Up Lives with Diwali Bazaar by TNWDC! ✨
As part of our CSR initiative in Chennai we organized a vibrant Diwali Bazaar on 13th & 14th October 2025, in collaboration with a women’s self-help group supported by the Tamil Nadu Women Development Corporation (TNWDC). 🌸
The event was a big success — in just two days, the group achieved an impressive ₹70,000 in sales! 💫
A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who joined in and helped make this initiative a true celebration of empowerment, community, and festive spirit. 🪔

✨ Diwali Celebration at Padma Adarsh Destitute Home ✨
We had a heartwarming Diwali celebration with the wonderful children at Padma Adarsh Destitute Home on 16th October 2025. 🎇
Fourteen of our Chennai staff volunteers brought smiles all around through fun games, lighting diyas, enjoying vibrant performances by the children, and serving dinner. 🎉
A special moment of the evening was when Mr. Sathish Thomas captivated everyone with his soulful songs. 🎶
Before the festivities began, our team also conducted a social media and cybersecurity awareness session for 50 girls — a big shoutout to our incredible volunteers K. Dharani, M. L. Kanishka, Jubi T. J., and Charan Pagadala, for stepping in at short notice and leading it so effectively. 💻💡
Kudos to all our volunteers for spreading light, love, and learning this Diwali! 💖🌟

Group Volunteering Program – IVD Initiative: On October 8, 2025, the Chennai CSR team took an Awareness Session on social media & cybersecurity for Class 11 and 12 students at Padma Adarsh Higher Secondary School, Vaniyanchavadi, Chennai.
As part of the Group Volunteering Program, three committed volunteer staff conducted three engaging sessions, reaching over 200 students. The sessions focused on:
• The benefits and potential risks of social media
• How to recognize common online scams
• Best practices for staying safe online
This initiative aimed to equip students with the knowledge and tools to navigate the digital world responsibly and securely.

On September 1st, the Chennai CSR team conducted IVD with our dedicated volunteers—Kamalakanan, Graham, Hemavathi, Pavithra, Ranjith, and Vignesh—who conducted an Awareness Session on Social Media and Cybersecurity as part of our Group Volunteering Program (IVD) at the Government Boys Higher Secondary Schools, Thiruporur & Girls Higher Secondary Schools, Thiruporur.
Covered 500+ students from Classes 11 and 12 in 6 sessions, highlighting the benefits and risks of social media, common online scams, and safe internet practices.

On 25th August 2025, our CSR team organized a Group Volunteering Program for IVD, conducting four awareness sessions at Government Higher Secondary School, Kelambakkam, Chennai, which reached over 375 students from classes 11 and 12. These sessions were led by volunteers Asma Niwas, Ramu Praveen, Jayaprakash, and Sureshkumar. Simultaneously, an interactive session for 30 class 8 students took place at Vivekananda English Primary and High School in Bengaluru, facilitated by volunteers Desiree and Abdul Rasheed. Both programs aimed to raise awareness about the responsible use of social media, emphasizing its risks, benefits, and safe practices.

This year, the Sopra Steria India Foundation (SSIF) sponsored 53 smart classes across four locations—Noida, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Pune—marking a significant step in the digital transformation of classrooms. This initiative enhances students' understanding of practical concepts and subject topics by replacing traditional blackboards with smart classes, using engaging short videos, and providing educational content.

In August, Bengaluru CSR volunteers took part in the IVD program at Lourds Primary and High School for 90 students. Two volunteers (Anush Jhonson & Gladys) led interactive sessions on basic Excel and Word for students of classes 8 and 9, including engaging activities. The students found the sessions both enjoyable and highly beneficial.

♟️ On August 19th, the Noida CSR team hosted an exciting friendly chess match between Sopra Banking employees and students from Prayas AID Noida School!
After 5 intense rounds, the top 3 winners emerged, and we crowned two champions—one from the students' side and one from the employees' side. 🏆✨
A big kudos to our incredible chess mentors, Mr. Vaibhav Gupta and Mr. Anurag Mishra, for their dedication in training the students every weekend online and for conducting the event with such professionalism, love, and patience. 🙌♟️

Empowering Futures: Two Day Career Counselling at BKM Higher Secondary School 📚
On July 30 & 31, 2025, the Chennai CSR team brought guidance and inspiration to 157 Grade 10 students at BKM Higher Secondary School. Day 1 focused on introducing students to thoughtful career planning concepts, paired with individual assessment exercises to help them uncover their unique strengths. Day 2 blossomed into interactive, section-wise discussions informed by the assessment results, guiding each student toward career paths that align with their values and goals. The outcome? A group of motivated, informed students ready to take charge of their future!

On Guru Purnima, Pune CSR team hosted a heartfelt activity at Gange Junior College, where 50 students from 7th and 8th graders came together to honor the incredible teachers and mentors who guide them.
💻 From July 1–18, we conducted an immersive HTML Computer Training Program. A total of 100 enthusiastic students took part—50 from Gange Junior College and 50 from Dnyandeep School—diving into web fundamentals and coding 🖥️✨.
