പ്രിയ സുഹൃത്തുക്കളെ,
സ്റ്റുഡന്റ്സ് ഫെഡറേഷന് ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യ (SFI) 13 ലക്ഷത്തിലധികം അംഗങ്ങളുള്ള കേരളത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ വിദ്യാര്ത്ഥി പ്രസ്ഥാനമാണ്. 1970 ല് തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് വെച്ചാണ് എസ്.എഫ്.ഐ രൂപീകരിക്കുന്നത്. സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം, ജനാധിപത്യം, സോഷ്യലിസം എന്നീ മുദ്രാവാക്യങ്ങളുമായി കഴിഞ്ഞ 40 വര്ഷത്തിലധികമായി ഇന്ത്യന് വിദ്യാര്ത്ഥി സമൂഹത്തിന്റെ തീക്ഷ്ണമായ അവകാശ പോരാട്ടങ്ങള്ക്കും ജനവിരുദ്ധ നിലപാടുകള്ക്കുമെ
തിരെ ശക്തമായ പ്രതിരോധവും പ്രതിഷേധവും എസ്.എഫ്.ഐ സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. നല്ലൊരു നാളേക്കായുള്ള സമരത്തില് ഞങ്ങളുടെ പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട നിരവധി സഖാക്കളെയാണ് ഇരുട്ടിന്റെ ശക്തികള് കൊലപ്പെടുത്തിയത്.
ഇത്തരം ക്രൂരതകളെ അതിജീവിച്ചാണ് എസ്.എഫ്.ഐ നമ്മുടെ രാജ്യത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ വിദ്യാര്ത്ഥി പ്രസ്ഥാനമായി വളര്ന്നത്. സൂര്യശോഭയാര്ന്ന രക്തസാക്ഷിത്വങ്ങളാണ് എസ്.എഫ്.ഐയുടെ ഇന്ധനവും ഊര്ജ്ജവുമായി പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നത്. ചൂഷണ വിമുക്തവും സമത്വസുന്ദരവുമായ സാമൂഹ്യ നിര്മ്മിതിക്കായ്, ജനാധിപത്യപരവും, ശാസ്ത്രീയവും, പുരോഗമനപരവുമായ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസക്രമം പടുത്തുയര്ത്താന് തിളക്കമാര്ന്ന സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യസമരപോരാട്ടങ്ങളുടെ നേരവകാശികളായ ഈ മഹത്തായ വിദ്യാര്ത്ഥി പ്രസ്ഥാനത്തിലേക്ക് മുഴുവന് വിദ്യാര്ത്ഥികളെയും സ്നേഹാദരങ്ങളോടെ സ്വാഗതം ചെയ്യുന്നു. .The Students’ Federation of India (SFI) is a Socialist organisation. The slogan of the SFI is "Independence, Democracy, and Socialism!" The SFI believes that education is a major tool of social transformation and that this concept is especially relevant in a country like India, where regressive forces still prevail. Proper education, we believe, will counteract such forces and will help to build a new society based on rationality and justice. The SFI is an organisation of students which is ever aware of its role in society. It identifies with a society's progressive forces and is totally committed to the idea of independence, democracy, and socialism. Though SFI is active throughout India, it is most prominent in those three states that have enjoyed communist governments historically. These are the states of West Bengal, Kerala and Tripura, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh. The SFI includes students from all the academic institutions of India - from schools to colleges, from professional institutions to research academies. The Students' Federation of India (SFI) is an independent student organisation in India, founded in 1970. As of 2015, the movement claims a membership strength of about 6.5 million among school and university students.[1] SFI is currently led at the All India level by Ritabrata Banerjee, General Secretary and Dr.V Sivadasan, President.
